But the real point here is their inherent privilege of being exceptionally good-looking, which is what kickstarted their Bollywood careers. The argument you've put up holds up well, but it can be applied to many star kids. (The likes of Rani, Kajol, Kareena, Hrithik etc) Nonetheless, we're specifically discussing the privilege that paved the way for their film debuts.

I disagree.

I never thought Priyanka was pretty. In her case and Aishwarya it can however be argued that their Miss World titles paved the way for them to enter Bollywood. With Madhuri it was her dancing ability that gave her a career. Being pretty helps specially when you are not a star kid. But I disagree with your assessment of all these ladies having pretty privilege.

Sure, some people are born with extraordinary skills though. Top athletes are, that's why others who train the same amount can't match up with them

I've got a serious doubt about people born with exceptional skills. This myth has been shattered numerous times now. The family you're born into, your parents' influence, your surroundings, and your socio-economic status all contribute to shaping who you become. Sure, there are physical traits that might naturally suit you for certain roles – like being taller than average might give you an edge in athletics, or extra flexibility could make you a better dancer – but you still need to put in the effort. You definitely don't come out of the womb doing Kathak.

To be honest, I never personally found Priyanka all that attractive, but she did win Miss World, so clearly, many people believed she deserved the title. That certainly paved her way into Bollywood. As for Madhuri, she's mentioned that she didn't have to struggle for her Bollywood debut.

With make up n glamorous dresses maximum girls look pretty. Social media is full of fashion influencers n they do look at par with Bollywood heroines. Some even better.

Except Aishwarya everyone else was average looking only.

Also if someone is born with beauty someone is born with acting talent or some other talent n some r born inteligent n keep topping their class n exams.

Nepotism comes into picture when ppl don't see anything in a person still getting chance after chance.

You certainly come out of the womb with genes which give you length in limb, flexibility in joints, and lung capacity smiley36

Sorry, bud.

Some fields require you to born with some features. Sports and show biz are among them.

Job requirement.

Nepo is a privilege.

Like I said, Miss world or Miss universe or Miss India definitely opened the door for many actresses. That’s not the same as pretty privilege. People don’t win these titles for their facial features. They win it for their eloquence and poise and grace under pressure. I’m not sure how Madhuri saying she didn’t struggle equates to her having pretty privilege. Her debut was a B grade movie no one even knows the title of. She rose to fame overnight with Tezab and her dancing to Ek Do Teen.

You've been emphasizing that nepotism is a privilege, and I've never contested that.

Regarding the rest of your argument, my post essentially conveys the same idea. You might be born with certain advantages that give you a head start in certain areas, but there's a significant "but" involved – you still need to pursue it and put in the effort. Malcolm Gladwell's "Outliers" is about this very phenomenon.

And there's a but involved in pretty too.

Grooming, makeup etc.

Once again, in movies, looks are a job requirement. Not privilege.
