Never knew I'd drop by again but here I am, cause this show? IS SO WORTH IT!
I can't believe I am here but Adi, Kavya and the show's excitement brought me here. Like we finally have characters that most of us can relate to, no women hating male lead, no damsel in distress female lead, no "tumne bus pe charhne k liye mera hath ignore kar k sub k samnay meri insult ki tou iska badla tou mai le k rahunga" and "Kavya tum humari beti nahi, beta ho" types bullshit, no snooty bandra girls..ah! Such a breath of fresh air! And the show got actors who can ACT! Win win in all the departments so far!
Adi and Kavya's characters - can't help but swoon over them (will come back to their chemistry later).
Kavya - is that charcter I've been yearning for so long. She's strong, determined, focused, career oriented but also gentle, kind, emotional and family oriented.
1. Despite the break up with Shubh, she hasn't turned bitter towards men. She does not hate men. She maybe vary of men and relationships but hasn't closed those doors just because of one bad experience.
2. Wonder women, as Adi calls her, fits perfectly on her. She doesn't depend on anyone but herself to get through difficult situations, and neither does she feel bad when everyone turns her back on her. The fact that she didn't doubt her abilities when her own guru and fiance turned their backs on her and made stupid demands speaks volumes of her belief in herself.
3. She doesn't hide her vulnerabilities and emotions to come across as a strong woman, but embraces her own flaws and is quite secure about herself.
4. Isn't afraid of speaking her mind and is super savage. Be it in front the dictator..oops, guru and reminding her good for nothing fiance to focus on the UPSC exams instead of wasting his time.
5. She is adorable! Those cheeks and baby face. And the nakhras in front of Adi..haye!
6. She is unintentionally funny! "Sorry par hum autographs nahi dete" and all those reality checks to Shubh had me rofling!
Adi on the other hand is a chalta phirta sota jaagta bolta gaata green flag! Aankhein taras gayi thi dekhne ko (cause aj tuk sirf books mei hi parhay hai aisay characters xD)
1. He respects women. All women. Initially, I thought his respect for Kavya came from the fact that she managed to get under his father's skin and because she reminded him of his father, but today's "ye humein surakshit rakhein gi" proved otherwise. And unlike Karan and Sanjeev, he didn't pass any comments and had no reaction while the girls changed in the same room as them spoke volumes as well. He was nonchalant about it because, for him, it nothing abnormal.
2. "Dil ka bohot acha hai" - A friend in need is a friend indeed is statement tailor-made for him. Be it Kavya or Sanjeev, he has been their support whenever they needed it. Without expecting anything in return. I mean, he went out of his way to help Kavya after their argument and some really harsh and hurtful words from Kavya. He really is something!
3. So far, this boy has displayed no male ego whatsoever.
4. His buttery smooth flirting and humor is a match made in heaven! All my life I've hated and cringed hard at those over exaggerated, cheesy flirty pick up lines but the ones he uses has me melting every.single.time! Kaisay kar leta hai ye? They sound endearing and heartfelt coming from him and that fond laugh that follows his flirtations everytime?!
5. Chalta phirta meme material hai yar!
6. Doesn't shy away from complimenting Kavya xD. I've never been the one to remember dialogues, but his every comment praising Kavya is etched in my mind because all of them straight from his heart (ye tou abhi khud Adi ko bhi nahi pata hai but the guy truly admires her).
Baaki characters are great too (love Mayank and Anusha's characters) but I'm a bit biased towards these two cause look at them!! Absolute cuties these two are! Hoping the writers don't ruin the stroyline!
