SRK was Hirani's first choice for most of his movies.....SRK ki akal per pattar pad gaye the.....chalo jab jaago tabhi savera......I am sure Hirani must be as happy as SRKians....

Munnabhai, SRK couldn't do because of the back operation he had to undergo...then, later, he would have liked but Hirani was contracted with VV Chopra as producer...and SRK wouldn't work under VV Chopra (Anupama's husband) as latter did say some mean things when Paheli got chosen for going to the Oscars and not his movie. He told Hirani, he would work with him when Hirani would work with RedChillies but - until the MeToo incident where the Chopra's judged Hirani guilty and parted ways with him - Hirani felt endebted to VV Chopra and so, it took some time.

I like SRK's way to do three takes on a profession he likes to portray thus showing what matters to him when it comes to his love for the country ...

Three other movies (not in one year though) already have dealt with this subject (MHN, VZ and JTHJ)

Dunki would be Hirani's first release after the #MeToo allegation, right?
