Shanto: He is going for his scans. We will know after that. We didn't bat well. We didn't start well. We batted poorly even in the last game in the first 10-15 overs. The wicket looks good. Some bounce with the new ball. We have to bat little responsibly. If we bat a little carefully in the first 10-15, then we can do well. Our pace bowlers did well. I think the biggest improvement has been our fast bowling department. We will have to bat well.

Kane Williamson: Just made holding the bat a little tough. Secondary to the thumb(laughs). The guys in the first half with the ball were excellent. Was nice to build partnerships and take it deep. Midway through the powerplay we thought we can hit the deck a little hard. Good competitive wicket. Really good team performance. Lockie was outstanding. The seam bowlers were really effective. He hasn't had the good fortune. Was nice to be out there and be part of some of the partnerships. Just scrapped through the new ball. Great team performance. Mitchell is a great contributor. He is a team first guy. He has been great to watch.

I don't know much about BCB (most cricket boards are full of shit anyhow) but whatever I have seen of the Players' strike and Shakib's fallout with it, it just pisses me off.

So NZ chase these down comfortably in the end. Daryll Mitchell sees it through, and it would have likely been alongside Kane Williamson had he not had to retire hurt with what looked like a thumb injury. Glenn Phillips also offered some lusty blows at the death to add gloss to the finish. It was a chase that Bangladesh looked to make difficult at the start with some miserly bowling, but in Williamson they had a man who is rarely rushed. Along with Mitchell, he saw through a difficult period and then just ran down the runs with consummate ease. As for Bangladesh, they will rue losing their top order to some loose strokeplay. It meant a lot of work to the lower order, and in the end they were probably about 30-50 runs short.

shakib is actually in good terms with other players. the only one who isnt in good term with is tamim, and they used to best friends , something happened in 2019 which caused a rift between the two, and their ego issues created more drama right before wc ans thats why tamim isnt playing the wc. it was about he not wanting to play in middle order for a match, and shakib was like oh why r u not playing for team and all.
