I was wondering that is Smriti a Gujarati in real life? I mean the last name "Irani" is gujarati? Please, help

i think she is actually bengali but irani is her married named. I think her mum was bengali and dad gujrati.

Smriti's Mom was Bengli And smriti's dad is panjabi. But she married ti Zubi who is parsi but he speack Gujarti.

You are basically from Delhi... how are you managing to act in a Gujarati play ?

Somebody said I wouldn't be able to do it. It's not my cup of tea. A lot of people were sceptical of that, because even though I can speak Parsi and Gujarati, we had just three weeks to put up the play and to learn the Kathiawadi Gujarati.

And that too a two-hour script. But then I always love challenges. So, that's how I am doing this play Maniben.com.

Did you learn Parsi Gujarati after your marriage to Zubin?

Yes. I didn't know the language till I came from Delhi to Mumbai.

Oh......Ok.....thanks a lot Nila for the interview.....She is so talented women.....in one of her interviews earlier she said, she visits Dakor(where the Randhod Rai Bhagwan's big mandir is) and I was wondering then "is Smriti Gujju or what?" but now I found out........thanks Nila

I hope she come to North Carolina this time for Maniben.com because last year she performed the play in my university theatre and I found out very later about it....I hope she come to North Carolina again this year and I am definetly going to the play and meet her.....
