I knew his song Ya Ali was ripped off an Arab song Ya Gali maybe 3/4 weeks after it came. It didn’t much difference to me.

I think it’s quite common knowledge

I said it before current state of Bollywood music is also worse because of copyrights. People like Pritam can’t rip off songs from elsewhere anymore so they can only remake existing songs.

The most mind-blowing for me is RD Burman copying Abba's Mama Mia. Even though the internet and socials were not around back then - Mama Mia was a massive global hit. The only thought I have is that a large number of Hindi film fans didn't listen to contemporary pop.
