PC has an American husband and is pretty close to his family plus she has a lot of American friends.

So she is literally immersed in American cuture. Not surprising for her to have a blend of accents at all.

I think the people calling her accent fake either have never lived in the US or if they do then have very limited non desi interaction.

Priyanka is clearly faking it. You know there are accent training classes right ? Priyanka has never had a British accent, now suddenly she keeps saying “Peppah” and you expect us to believe it’s real people aren’t stupid. So many people wouldn’t have said it’s fake if it wasn’t.

She is not working at some subway or 7-11 in Jackson Heights, Queens. Nothing against that but ones workplace and social interactions affects the way one speaks.

Frankly, her accent sounds American to me.

With Indians she probably gets her Indian accent back. It is called code switching.
