And it also depends on demand of a scene and what directors instructed an actor. As you said that in jail scene mohit is supposed to cry like a baby instead of just emotional as it triggered his childhood trauma.

That jail scene looked so realistic and good...

Also such things happens when actors don't relate with scenes that's not technically MOHIT's fault because he is yet to shoot Rishikesh trekking trip flashbacks so Mohit ko tho pata hi nehi Neil ko Yuvika se pyaar hua kab

That's why Rishikesh trekking trip flashbacks are important

Yeah that was little off. In fact that whole scene was underwhelming for me not becoz of Mohit but how it is written.

Yeah there are many scenes in edkv2 where mohit used to make pout while crying, but at the same time there were many scenes where he was chef's kiss.

As i replied in previous comment, he is good with potential to be best and long way to go.

Because when Bhoomi saw Neil first time he was 6 Saal ka kiddo roaming around Mahajan campus, after Yuvika's birth they left & after that Vidur got arrested when he was five so....

That happens to every actor. In fact, at times DJ's screaming also look out of the place or Anjali's emotional scenes doesn't look that emotional. Not to forget that Neil's character doesn't have a base like dj or yuvika due to which mohit haven't got the chance to grasp the character well.
