10 teams, one dream.
The much awaited and the most anticipated showpiece event of the year is here. The ICC Cricket World Cup is less than a week away. Before the showpiece event begins, all the teams will play a couple of warm-up games over the next four days, starting today. Hello and welcome to our live coverage of this warm-up fixture featuring the runners-up of 2019 - New Zealand and the 1992 World Cup winners - Pakistan. The Blackcaps are the perennial dark horses when it comes to ICC events and their opponents - Pakistan, are known to be one of the most unpredictable teams in such tournaments. Kane Williamson is back after recovering from his knee injury, but it will be Latham to lead the side in today's game. On the other hand, the Men in Green will be led by their solid top order batter - Babar Azam. Each team will play minimum 9 matches in the tournament, so most of the players in all the squads are likely to play a part in some or the other way. The players who perform well in these warm-up matches will most probably feature in the starting XI of their respective tournament opener, so let's hope for a well-fought contest.
