I haven't watched much of it but whatever I have seen it seems a good show only but my gut feeling says I will probably like Satrangi more than Ek Duje when I will finally manage time to watch

I have watched promos of satrangi when it originally aired.....the protagonist goes through so much of crap , not my kind of a show at all...

All my ships literally sabke zindagi jhand rahi hai..

No ship can ever come close to jo VashmAy ne jhela hai so it's kinda my kind of a show.

What did VashmAy go through? Partition? This is why i don't like period dramas...something simillar happened in 9 malabar hill too ( set in a pre independent in the year 1931) Shiv and Suman went through a lot

They went through everything...

Vashma was Muslim who loved dancing, Uday Hindu who loved hockey. so obviously family objection towards their passions as well as on them being in love... they tried to elope but got caught, faced blackmailing & physical torture from family. Vashma got married to Karachi.

Vashma got pregnant (With Uday's kid only but he didn't know that). On the day of partition declaration, Uday took Vashma with him while leaving Lahore. On their way Vashma gave birth to Kabir. Uday gets to know it's his child. They were trying to somehow escape from Lahore to reach Amritsar with that infant but the infant got exchanged with other kid near border... Vashma ran back towards Lahore for her Kabir. Randheer (Zaan) stopped Uday from going behind Vashma, Randheer himself went behind her but Pak police caught them. Randheer got jailed in Pakistan. Terrorist stole Vashma's kid from her & sold Vashma in red light area for prostitution. Uday couldn't reach her, he became a famous hockey player of India, he made sure somehow his names airs on all India Radio & though Radio it reaches Vashma so that she can find him. Vashma became Noor Mahal a dancer in that area only so that one day she meets that man there who stole her kid. When they got the kid back, Vashma got attacked & went to coma. She regained her senses only in last week episodes, VashmAy sacrificed their kid to that mother who raised their kid. Vashma became a dance teacher, Uday hockey player... they got blessed with a baby girl in last episode
