I am notbsure in today's world only TRP matters. I forgone watch on hotstar only and am sure many in this forum also watch on hoyatar. I purchased the subscription only to watch this show and majorly watch this show only. Even before buying I used to get ads on hotstar too. So the channel definitely makes money through hotstar also....also TMD is leading show in UK also....so I have a doubt as to what really decides if the show is doing well....only TRP? Is that not outdated in today's world? When a major population watches on OTT, don't they take that onto account? Like Kathaa Ankahee on sony has a bad trp but it's a leading show on OTT....just curious

But thank god makers showed some mercy on Angad today. I feared they might show him to be suspicious of Sahiba and accuse her of cheating and him and all that crap. But no, it was a pleasant surprise. He immediately realized that Sahiba is being stalked and she's in danger. Finally, makers showed him as a worthy person to be the CEO of Bear Jewellers. Only trp matters for any Gec. Advertisers are prime source of income for channels, most people who take hotstar subscription take it for a lot of shows and movies and not just one show, so channel does not care about hotstar subscribers while deciding whether to keep or chuck a show. Same for UK viewership, the viewership is in 1000s, barely any revenue to be made from UK viewership.

Unless they make the show exclusively for ott they don't care about ott numbers.

Sony has low trps for all its shows. Katha isn't that low in comparison to other shows, Sony stopped expecting any better.
