Yes that's been refuted by multiple sources including Anil Sharma himself. He was just narrating him the story of his next film he was making with Sunny while shooting "Maharaja". He was never offered the film. Anil is dumb, but not that dumb. Govinda is the last actor anybody would cast as Tara.

I like some of Govinda’s songs and that’s about it. Wonder why he is going around spreading such vile lies. Sigh.

Talking about the missed chances, do you know Jaanwar was written keeping Sunny in mind, which he rejected? It ended the long friendship between Sunny and Darshan. The movie was picked up by Akshay Kumar which got him out of his slump phase and started his long winning stint with Suneel Darshan.

Producers have stopped updating the numbers anymore. They also are not fighting for the shows anymore. The audience are gearing up for the Janmashtami but this is what they are getting. No shows or reduced shows everywhere.Absolutely unpardonable behavior from the producers.

Every action film in the 90s used to go to Sunny first. Karma, Koyla, Mohra, Trimurti...you name it. Karan Arjun was written for Sunny & Bobby. But Barsaat got delayed & Sunny didn't want Karan Arjun to be Bobby's debut. So they opted out. Then it went to Ajay & Salman and eventually Salman & SRK.

I just realized one weird thing. Bobby acted in two two Barsaats. The second one apparently had been middle dropped by Akshay which ended his friendship with Suneel. The real life stories of these actors are much more dramatic and interesting. No wonder they can portray their stories so convincingly or at least try to. 😆

What you didn’t know this? I knew about this even before I knew Sunny( I mean like how I know about him now). He also takes, hold your breath, the credit for suggesting the title ‘Avtar’. It was not some gossip tabloid claiming this but I heard it from the horse’s mouth. He also accuses Shahrukh Khan for spreading rumors about him of being an unprofessional actor, which was apparently the cause for his career going into a downward spiral. We don’t know what the truth is but I feel genuinely sympathetic towards those who have regrets about their past, because it is the worst pain one can give to oneself.
