Yes there is a minor update to the algorithm for Chaska Meter rankings. We are now also taking into account the latest TRP of the show.

We would be making the update to the CM Ranking table to reflect the changes.

Will the new factors for CM and their respective weights in the algo be made public?

Or does it remain a secret so that folks don't try to manipulate it for their respective serials?

Well you can see the table that we update with each chaska meter every week. We have shared that.

Buzz- Reactions and comments to articles on the serial I suppose?

I'm taking Dhruv Tara's article (for last week) as an example- (https (dot) indiaforums (dot) com/article/portraying-dhruvs-emotions-over-the-past-few-weeks-has-been-exhilarating-ishaan-dhawan_199724)

I can see 300 Nice, 150 Awesomes, 302 Loved currently (the exact number may have been slightly lower when CM was computed, but would roughly be around the same figure).

There is only one comment on the article.

Buzz for it shows as 28 as per CM- how exactly did it get calculated?

Rating shows as 475- is this the cumulative rating count of everyone for it? (if I rated it 5 stars on one day of the week, and 4 stars for the remainder, is it 29 from my end?)

Views- shows as 8. What calculates as a view? A visit to the main forum page by a registered user?

Activity- 10 new threads with only the OP's post versus 1 thread having 10 replies in it? What would be the score in both cases? Is the uniqueness of the poster and thread creator also counted? If yes, how?

Followers- only followers who click follow in the last week? Or past ones are counted too?
