Knowing Dhruv i think he will use his case to push for legal reforms in Ballabgarh and demand that no punishment be carried out without proper investigation and every accused gets time to prove his innocence.

And while we all are angry at the royals, we have to think from their POV and their 17th century mindset. Only we know that Dhruv is innocent. They don't. The murderer played his cards extremely well such that even Maharaj suspected Dhruv to be the attacker so we can't really blame the royals here. Even the public feels that their king's murderer deserves Mrityudand despite him saving their kingdom. So that has very much to do with the mindset of that century.
