I genuinely don't understand the point of a big wedding if it is not to celebrate with friends and family. Child free weddings especially make no sense to me.
For many people, the wedding is not an opportunity to celebrate with friends and family but to show off wealth or one-up another relative. I know someone who wanted a really small wedding because of very modest income - but their mom insisted on having a big wedding because all other rishtedaars had big wedding.
I understand child-free, too. But not allowing young teens is extreme.
Young children can be noisy and disruptive - and if someone is OCD about a nice quiet ceremony and elegant plated dinner then they're not gonna want kids. Also, if it's an open bar and people are planning to get plastered and go crazy, it's just not a suitable environment for kids. You have to be realistic too - if most of your friends and family have young kids then it is a ground reality and you cannot escape it. Although, no kids can also help filter out high maintenance parents.
IDK why this dad banned a 17 year old. In the Midwest - anyone over 14 is the automatic designated driver for drunk adults. 😆

Ah. I am so used to eating pumpkin as a vegetable that I have a hard liking anything with pumpkin as a drink or pie 😆.
That being said it is still better than anything with mint which reminds me of toothpaste 😆.
You know there is zero pumpkin or pumpkin flavor in PSL right?
Pumpkin spice is the warming spice blend that is mixed with pumpkin to make the pie.
