Like many of you pointed out most times Alia is bragging on how she is the one to tie Ranbir Kapoor down.

Alia is not naive or dumb, she is quite smart and is in this relationship with her eyes wide open.

She is very competitive, especially with DP. She got everything she wanted - big films, Sanjay Leela bhansali movie, plus Ranbir.
Her ego is on fire that RK ditched Deepika and Katrina and chose to settle down with her.

And really RK and Alia are perfect for each other. Alia is so happy getting to be his wife that she just lets him be and that’s exactly what RK seems to want- a submissive partner.

That's my feeling, too...only, that I also see something else...deep down, she can't lie to herself and then, those things happen...

(even if the Universe conspires to give you what you absolutely want, that doesn't mean that it may not want to tell you that the wanting had been false...)

Lmao, Alia is already a big star & doesn't need Kapoor's name for attention. There are many international reviewers who have praised Alia for her performance
