Doesn’t seem like a slip of tongue… it looks like something he has been salty and been boiling over for 2 decades…

Ghayal2 and dangal were released in same year yet we didn’t see aamir saying stuff like dangal did more than 10 times the box office of ghayal again… which it actually did unlike lagaan doing 2% business of gadar 😂

If this is slip of tongue then we should give same benefit of doubt to people kjo, srk, alia, Ranveer etc who are routinely bashed on this forum

I swear there is a brigade of people who suddenly own successful films like g2, Kashmir files, south blockbusters JUST to put down khans, rest of the popular films coming out of Bollywood

There is no love for cinema here coz these guys aren’t praising the film itself …the entire discourse is : dekho it earnt x crores more than film y….

Agree esp about south movies…
Nepotism and BO manipulation is way worse in south than BW, they have problematic love stories and misogynistic love stories but somehow people here pretend south movies have great sanskar and are true representatives of Indian culture when the fact is not only nepotism but also casteism is rampant there, with even some murder conspiracies involved.

When Gadar 2 became successful, I was actually happy for it and Sunny Deol.

But I absolutely hate how its success is becoming an opportunity to bring down Aamir and srk. With snide remarks on Aamir's pr for Lagaan, SRK fudging numbers for pathaan etc. Now suddenly we are questioning if Aamir is a PR made star - like really? All his blockbusters are PR tricks? Just because he wasn't a romantic hero / action star so doesn't have devoted fan girls or fan boys defending him on internet, he isn't popular? Unbelievably ridiculous!!

I’m not a fan of Aamir’s personal life and conduct but these so called 100cr club, 200cd club and even 300cr club … all are “created” by aamir… his movies are the first ones to breach all these records…

hell he even has a 2000cr world wide movie as well 😂

Im a South Indian and I grew up watching south movies …

…I think regional films deserved to get their recognition and I’m glad they did…there is a lot of talent there that is unexplored and untapped…I do think south actors are a little more traditional and a lot of them are spiritually inclined and have conservative beliefs …I mean rajnikanth is in Himalayas meditating as his film Jailer is breaking records currently …

But religion and faith r personal things, not certificates of character…so I don’t see why people who are religious need to be praised and those who aren’t are brought down ..

no one can deny the nepo bias and caste bias there in the industry….or the mysoginy in film content or how some “fans” of actors behave …

I’m also not an idiot who dosent see the pattern here when some Hindi speaking people jump on the bandwagon to praise them…it’s not genuine it’s just because it fuels an agenda they have with religion or politics ….

Like they hyped the hell out of karthikeya 2 (Telugu) purely because there was a single scene describing lord Krishna …whether the rest of the film is upto mark or not is immaterial

Post baahubali I saw how people used poor prabhas to bring down the khans and Also saw how they hyped adipurush when it was announced and quickly dropped it like hot potato when they saw the visuals getting trolled …and spewed vitriol against it like never before …

I don’t trust these “ugte sooraj ko salaam” types who just go after the current successful thing and ghusao their agenda in there….

For me a film is either good or bad

Not good because it has “sanskari” things or bad because it has “videshi” culture
