I hated how Savi told Vidyadhar that her only wish is for Arjun not to be angry and to behave as before. Would that be a happy life?
Why doesn't Savi have the sense to realize that too many people know about her double life already? Nanda isn't like Vishvambhar or Balaram who would be incriminated by the truth coming out. After Savi calls the police on Nanda, won't Nanda have all the more reason to get rid of Savi? Balaram can't be trusted to be discreet either, and Pankaj might play turncoat someday. The secret is also known to Dipu, Çamaki, Shyamal, Ashiqya, Naresh, Suresh ...
Not only should Savi think like this, she should question why Vidyadhar doesn't think it's time to cushion the blow and tell Arjun.
Vidyadhar said that Nanda's fraud was so egregious because she was aided by his kaniṣṭha bandhu - youngest brother. He meant Balaram, I guess!
Isn't Balaram the madhyama bandhu - middle brother? I recall Balaram complaining to Dhole that his father begot Arjun even though he had two children already - which I thought were Vidyadhar and Balaram.
Why do Savi and Arjun allow Vidyadhar to go on addressing her as Savitri Madam?
Savi thinks she owes Vidyadhar her freedom and marriage after confessing her crimes to him; Arjun thinks that Vidyadhar persuaded Savitri to marry him. They should ask him to address her as Savitri only.
Lately the show has added risqué situations, swear words, and roughhousing between spouses. I guess the creative team thinks that this stuff makes a show sexy.
Arjun dares Savi to kiss him in front of the family, and makes sure the lights turn on so that they get caught ...
Savi lures Arjun into their dark bedroom where everyone waiting to surprise Krishna'i catches Arjun aroused and top-bare ...
Savi teases Arjun about his "look at my love life" behaviour and unfulfilled vāsanā ...
Savi tells Krishna'i and Priya that Arjun has an insatiable appetite for gulakanda ...
None of this voyeurism makes me forget how shallow this couple's relationship is! Stupidly, Arjun declared that Savitri could never lie to him, right after she jeopardized his business by nominating Nanda for chairman. Meanwhile, cowardly Savi isn't ready to tell her mother why she can't marry Parikshit.
Savi keeps saying māyalā; Arjun's friend kept calling him sālyā. Does anyone in the audience find this vulgar language appealing?
Vidyadhar slams his leg on Nanda's lap ...
Arjun grabs Savi by the throat ...
Savi punches Arjun in the stomach, knocking him to the floor ...
This isn't bold or intense or amusing! It's just distasteful in my opinion. What's your opinion?
So, Bhima's room stays locked because the memories are too painful for Arjun. Yet the house is called Bhima Sadan.
Was the room open while Bhalachandra was alive? Did he spend time there? What about Krishna'i's children? Did they remember Bhima'i as their other mother?
Krishna'i now refers to Bhima'i as just Bhima - not Bhima Tāī - and says that she was married to Bhalachandra before he married Bhima.
So, why did Vidyadhar tell Nanda, the first wife's name was Bhima'i and the second wife's name was Krishna'i?
Is the family history being rewritten?
Notably, Krishna'i said that the sweater was always with Bhima, and when asked whether Bhima knitted it or it was for Arjun, Krishna'i didn't answer. The flower is a hint that Sharada knitted the sweater. Was it for Arjun or for Savi?
The reflection of Savi's face in Bhima's portrait lingered so long that I matched up their features. Was this what Vishvambhar meant when he said that Savi reminded him of someone?
Well.. yes the display of love/lust or cuss words is more in this serial....
I think it is just there to portray the characters..... Arjun is an alpha male...autocratic and he has to show his prowess in every situation....
Hence the display of being passionate in work and love !
Savi is alpha female too ....she knows she is the best at what she does.......
and being a thief and the circumstances she has lived her life she definitely can't be full of etiquettes.... she is used to cuss words in every sentence.... that was her way of life..... which of course she is changing and hence she lowers her volume every time she swears...... she is trying to fit in this new avatar and live a life with dignity.....
If you notice even mother mowlis language is raw....
I actually like Arjuns display of love..... i do find the Gulkand dialogue a tad boring now... but then it was cute in the beginning.....
Also Arjun fell in love with Savi coz she is alpha..... just like him... not scared of anyone and "on the face" kinda person !
Rasika's dialogue delivery is too good..... she is a natural .....
Indraneil is capitalising on his good looks and macho ness....
Both have done justice to their characters...... very fluid....
appreciate the way they are comfortable with those mushy/ lusty scenes..... don't make it look vulgar...
Coming to Vidya and Nanda.... both are dominating hence Vidya HAS to show that he is the leader of the pack... hence those mannerisms....
I think in the entire show Shaali is the only innocent character ! 😊
Coming to the title of this thread..... i think Vidyadhar was not born with the paralysis.... i think it has something to do with Bhimai's death....
Maybe he tried to cause harm to baby Arjun..... and in the process was hurt when someone interferred to protect the baby....
Children are known to develop jealousy towards their younger siblings if they are given more love and attention...... maybe Bhalchandra loved Arjun more than his other 2 sons ..... and also maybe becoz Bhima'i was given more respect than his mother.....
After yesterdays show.... it is very clear that Savi is Bhima'i daughter... and she was exchanged for Arjun.....
Maybe on purpose or by mistake..... only mother mowli can tell....
I dont think this truth is known to Vidya or mama too.....
But Arjun resembles Bhima'i more than Savi..... he def doesn't look like mother mowlis son 😊
i think Arjuns suicide attempt is when he came to know that he is not Bhimai's real son....and the fact that it was hidden from him for so many years he felt it a big deceit.....
maybe Vidya also knows this truth but has preferred to hide it from the rest of the siblings.... (Coz Balram mentioned to Dhole about his father wanting another child inspite of having 2 sons..)
come to think of it Arjuns entire life has been full of deception if my theory is correct.....
he doesn't know his real mother
he doesn't know that Vidya (whom he trusts so much) is the real villian
he doesn't know his wife is the thief he wants to get arrested
he doesn't know that his sasuma is actually his mother
he doesn't know that his wifes sasuma is actually her mother
he doesn't know that he is not a Kavthekar
he doesn't know that he is actually a tiger killer
wow.....Arjun better be prepared for all these heart aches !
Do you think Savi will go and tell the truth to mother mowli soon ? What will be mother mowlis reaction ?
The way Sharada says "māzhaṃ melelaṃ toṇḍa pāhaśīla" to insist that Savi has to meet Parikshit, we can expect that as Savi goes on procrastinating about telling Mother Māulī the truth ...
Savi will marry Parikshit, wearing a sweater to hide Arjun's maṅgaḷasūtra. ... Sharada will look over Savi's shoulder during a video call with Krishna'i, but Savi will insist that she was talking to Shehnaz Madam and it's cosmopolitan to address one's boss as Āīsāheba. ... Sharada will learn that Savi is in Kavathe-Bhairavgad and will show up with Paras. When Paras introduces himself to Arjun and Savi walks in, she will convince Arjun that Paras left Dubai to work as a rickshaw driver out of patriotic fervour. ... Borrowing an idea from Alf Layla Wa Layla, Savi will pack lunches for both Arjun and Parikshit, and when they meet in Mumbai with identical half-sandwiches, they'll fit the pieces together.
Vidyadhar said to Nanda: Bhīmāīcyā poṭī Arjun ālā. While it's clear that we're supposed to notice the resemblance between Savi and Bhima'i - both princesses, according to Krishna'i - there hasn't been any hint that Arjun wasn't born to Bhima'i.
Savi fulfilled a prophecy meant for the Khopade heir, but in the real world, anyone can make up a prophecy. The well getting water doesn't prove that Savi is actually a Khopade and Arjun isn't. Anyway, in a patrilineal society, if Savi's father was the last Khopade male, she would be the heir ahead of Arjun whose mother married out of the Khopade family.
Balaram told Dhole that his father already had two children - mulaṃ, not mulage. So far, I have assumed that the two children were Vidyadhar and Balaram, but what if the two children were Vidyadhar and a lost daughter of Bhima'i - Savi?
Then Bhima'i decided to have another child with the help of an unrelated egg donor and in vitro fertilization, and so Bhima'i gave birth to Arjun. That would satisfy Bhīmāīcyā poṭī Arjun ālā without Arjun being a Khopade by genetics.
Is Savi Arjun's māme bahīṇa? Is she Arjun's uterine non-genetic sibling? Is she Arjun's half-sister, which would happen if the donated egg was fertilized by Bhalachandra's sperm - a modern twist on Moll Flanders? Or, most shocking idea, is Savi Arjun's long-lost twin?
