To me, she never cared about Abhi or his feelings from the beginning. She valued her husband over her child until the divorce. It was a toxic relationship where she used Abhi to fight her battles because she was too much of a coward to do it herself. That's why he is always in defense mode when it comes to her. Ironically, Abhir inherited the same trait from his father lol.

It's the same with Akshara's toxic relationship with Abhir. No matter how much she hurts, lies, or manipulates him he will still love her (and she knows it). Post-leap Akshara has been using Abhir as a tool to punish Abhi for what happened between them years ago as well. They are two peas in a pod.

@bold Completely agree about this. All the characters were ruined for the leap and separation to happen, but the makers went too far. ITV separations are simple, but the makers overcomplicated everything and got nothing in return for their experiment.

I really don't agree that Manjari is one of the most toxic ITV mothers, infact she has been one of the least toxic amongst all of the shows I have watched. For me she is similar to the mother figure in tere liye, who was sweet and kind and had her heart in the right place but did some bad things due to MUs or due to love for her son.

It is in this show that I have seen mother figures being so villainized for no reason. Everything Manjari has done has had a clear reason which may not always be selfless or mahaan like the great FL, but it atleast makes sense.

I think that before the leap this show was reasonably modern, Birla family was shown as being reasonably modern too and Manjari esp. was shown to be compassionate and empathetic despite her being abused by Harsh. She also made several efforts to keep Abhira together, to the extent that she told Abhi to forget about her accident in which she could have died. After the first leap her entire perspective on Ak changed as someone who didn't love Abhi enough....which looking back doesn't seem wrong. Abhi is constantly the one after Ak, and the one who still loves her and cares about her despite all the insults and blames - just like Manjari did with Harsh for the longest time.

But they changed everything after the leap. They rewrote all the narrative to turn this into a backwards mother in law - daughter in law drama, which this really wasn't. So hence they villainized Manjari and turned Abhi into someone who only listens to his mother. Except their traits are still there...Manjari is still compassionate towards Ak, even if she prioritizes Abhi's happiness. And Abhi listens to Ak as much as he listens to his mom, while telling them both they are wrong when appropriate. He is his own person and does what he thinks is right.

Now they are trying to turn it back to what it was, but that isn't working cause they have already messed it up so much. From my understanding of today's episode, it seems like both Manjari and Ak want to wait to tell Abhir the truth until the court judgement. They both just think the truth is two different things, which they can fight over. But I don't understand why Ak couldn't just tell Manjari that she is planning not to tell until court judgement? Nor do I understand her and the entire goenkas blaming the birlas for this. Whatever happened, even if Abhi murdered, it was Abhi's decision taken without Birlas involvement. So why all the hate towards Birlas? Just cause they think he is innocent? What sense does that make?

Their relationship had trust, understanding, respect, even friendship. More than what Abhira had. That is the reason they lasted for so long. Nothing but death did them apart.

I now feel you are being biased towards your favourites. Their relationship had nothing except mutual respect- the kind of respect I literally share with n number of people but i won't go and marry them all.

Their marriage lasted longer coz there wasn't a single thing of conflict. For 6 years their life was Abhir ka grown up stage, struggling for money where Abhinav let Akshara manage the finance and be content in her bewajah ka cold behaviour.

As soon as conflict arises Abhinav was super insecure. That's exactly what they show in the serial so it's not assumptions or anything

Healthy relationships aren't built on lying about the paternity of child lol. He didn't know anything about her after living and raising a son together for six years. She didn't even tell him something superficial as she likes singing. I know more about my neighbor than he knew about her lol. She wanted a yes man who wouldn't question her decisions and she got that with Abhinav.

Honestly, I always felt bad for Abhinav because he wasn't a bad person aside from the lying and the emotional manipulations he exhibited at times. Still, he deserved someone who respected him enough to share their real self with him, not a empty shell.

Abhinav was actually the best decision of Akshaar's life. Falling in love with him was actually the best thing she had ever done.

Theirs was a healthy relationship.

I disagree that Manjari never cared about Abhi or his feelings or that she put her husband over Abhi. Nowhere is this shown. Unlike Ak, she also tried to mend their relationship multiple times. Also, people forget that Abhi's issue with Harsh wasn't just about how he treated his mom, but also about how he treated everyone else.

Manjari was in a abusive relationship, and not only that, she was in an abusive household. In the beginning, no one gave her any respect in the house and she was just a maid for most of them. They obliterated her self confidence to that level, so it makes sense why she was not able to leave Harsh. Its called conditioning. She was conditioned to accept that behavior and accept that she deserves it. So it took a big shock like Neil's truth reveal to get her out of it, and even then it took her time. Ak was right back then, its not about Abhi in that case, its about Manjari and when she feels ready and supported.

Ak-Abhir relationship for me is still too early to say what exactly is happening. The trust issues are already there, ( which didn't exist for Abhi) and Ak does use her son to hurt Abhi. But their relationship still needs to evolve.

Characters are meant to be discussed irrespective of personal feelings towards them.

Also, like the show has been going for quite a while now. If people are biased, there is a reason and its part of the show so you can't just say someone is biased and disregard their argument.

I used to be an Ak supporter and liked her through first leap. I even felt like first leap reunion was shitty and Abhi should have had to do way more groveling. Even in this leap, I was supporting Ak bashing Abhi till a certain extent.

But they took it to a whole other level with all of this, and slowly Abhi's trauma far outweighed Ak's and her lack of repentance for anything has made a lot of us support Abhi.
