Those 30 minutes are as good as the interval period and chopping it entirely wouldn't affect the main plot. Girl is pretty but made no impact. Also, what a massive downgrade from Tara-Sakina! Those two have still got the chemistry.

I really missed Amrish Puri and Vivek Shauq here. That scene with a 3 second flashback of Darmiyaan was delightful. Ashraf Ali's end was unexpected and sad. :(

Until the movie became a hit, it was either solo Tara Singh or Tara- Sakeena on the posters with the story being of the love in the family and how much Jeete loves his mom. Glad to get more insight into the movie itself by some members' comments who have watched the movie 😊

...and I think the director should be glad not really about the movie but about the reaction to the movie...

If I had been in India now I'm sure I would have gone to the Gayatri in Bandra to watch it - not for the movie but for the experience...

Oh, I'm quite sure it will cross Pathaan's Indian net box office figure. And I was quite sure that it would be a big success.

The rest of your post is my thinking, too. I certainly would not have watched certain movies if it had not been because of SRK.

So, I fully can understand that people who knew/had watched the 2001 Gadar wanted to rekindle to that feeling...and new one to experience the excitement (it is infectious 😉).

It indeed is a "true cinematic event"...audience made it one and that makes me happy. The second time in this year that the 'old' going-to-the-movies came back...and I really hope that it will happen repeatedly 😊
