Though Sunny had successful movies without him, he never got the critical acclaim that Rajkumar movies got him. On the other hand Santoshi continued to make critically acclaimed movies but did not have the BO success that he had with Sunny.

Bhagat Singh by Rajkumar Santoshi was absolutely awesome though..I feel super emotional, every time Mera Rang De Basanti Chola scene comes😭

I never tried to watch Bobby wala Bhagat Singh😆

Zee studios mentioned they are bankrolling more projects with Sunny Deol in an action packed movie..and also a potential Gadar 3😲 what will they show in Gadar 3 I wonder?😲

It’s one of my most favorite patriotic as well as inspirational movies.Ajay Devgan got national award. Sunny must be crazy to walk out of it.

There is a movie called Qatar with this big picture of Sunny right in the middle and Sonali Bendre. Therefore I started watching the movie but had to forward about half of the movie to find Sunny. He was there only in a few scenes and gets hospitalized after a fight scene and goes into coma 😆😆. Then the actual hero Arman Kohl saves his wife (well, tries to). 😆 I am like why would you cheat the audience like this. Who wants to watch Sunny bedridden,😆 and some poker faced guy come and do all the saving. It was bizarre!

It was common practice a certain time to give a cameo to the (male) star and feature him on the poster 'as if' ...to attract audience...when it comes to money, cheating isn't far away (not always but often)...

I already wrote in another thread that I hope they won't try to profit from the craze for Gadar 2 to make a third one...the nostalgia-factor wouldn't elevate the movie anymore.

Everybody should just enjoy this revival...it's perfect like it is.

They can do other movies with Sunny...maybe a follow-up of Damini...Sunny got the rights from SRK saying he wanted to do a sequel...

Sunny is Gadar. But I can see him starting a nationalist film with his son in the lead, just not Gadar.

Even now no one will miss it if they edit the entire piece from the time Jeete hides from that Pakistani officer at the immigration to the bit where Tara flows back to the Indian side. Those 25-30 mnts didn’t make any impact on the movie.
