Yep , these two acted in a show prior to this ( 2007 - 09) and that got hit and the character names from that show became the title and their character names in this show ( 2011 - 13) ....they got married irl after this show ended ( 2014) and again did a show in 2016-17 which was far less toxic than this one ( that 3rd one was actually progressive , damad going and living in sasural ; only the ghar jamai jokes were regressive)
