Gadar 2 - Another Phenomenal Day - Oh My God 2 Good Growth

Gadar 2 - The Katha Continues is heading for another phenomenal day as collections are looking to be better than day one and it should collect around 41 crore nett giving the film a huge 80 crore nett over the first two days. The multiplex business has seen growth but shockingly there is hardly a drop at single screens which you would expect on day two considering the crazy single screen business on the first day.

The overall drop in the single screen business is going to be very minimal and this will enable mass circuits to remain rock steady on day two as multiplexes will be up a little. These mass numbers means the film is on for a solid Sunday and its going to be insane crowds again outside theatres with many unable to get tickets.

The original 2001 film was labelled a propaganda film and these words are popping up again but obviously these people have no clue about the collections from Muslim domianated centres like Aligarh and Muzzafarnagar. The film has found acceptance across all religions and castes and it is no way being seen as a propaganda film but just an entertainer. It will be also be called a B and C centre film but here the film will record higher collections at the 50 odd premium multiplexes than any metro film be it a Gully Boy or the recent Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani.

Oh My God 2 has shown very good growth of around 50% to collect around 13.50 crore nett and the film is on a very solid footing with this growth. The two day total of the film is around around 22.50 crore nett plus. The growth of the film has come across multiplexes in India and the film may have some solid appreciation though it will probably be Wednesday and Thursday when we will find out.

Its looking like 160-170 crore nett weekend for the two new releases which is a phenomenal total and both films have been made on restricted budgets. Gadar 2 has thrown out the theory that there has to be scale to get huge numbers at the box office. It has the insane popularity of one of the greatest films made in India behind it so that may well have compensated for the film not being high on scale and visuals.

I can understand the single screens but why are so called intellectuals and educated multiplex audience also preferring Gadar over a Gully boy or Rocky Rani ?

That’s because multiplex audience are fed up of fake reviews, fake BO numbers and woke lectures of fake people.. I know I am.

I want to watch a movie in a single screen theater one of these days. It looks like an experience that a movie lover ought to have at least once in a lifetime.

There must be some psychology behind the psycho's transformation.
