Was this one of your easier predictions Bobby? 😆 I completely agree with this and I’m sure everyone else more than likely does too.
Going on a bit of a tangent, what do you think happened with Akshay Kumar? He went from having an absolute dream run to suddenly his movies almost being treated like a B grade movie. Over exposure and saturation? The preachy theme of the movies? Citizenship controversy? Or just simple bad luck? It also seems like it’s not just the flops but that he’s also lost some of the goodwill he had with the audience.
Opening seems about right but if early reviews are any indication, then it's a fantastically made film and should have a long run.
But more than the reviews it's dependent on the WOM of Gadar. If Gadar is rejected, OMG will have the whole extended weekend to itself. Jailer has already been rejected. All eyes on Gadar.
Opening- 9.25 Cr
Lifetime- 101 Cr
Verdict- Hit

Jailer is releasing in Hindi too?
I think there is a limited Hindi release but it's more because places like Bengaluru, Chennai & other South Circuits which are more welcoming towards Social films will open up for OMG2.

This was indeed a very easy prediction 🤣 actually it was one of those predictions where I had zero interest in even writing (which is why I wrote it so late, on like Thursday!), but i had to write it as it's an Akshay film!
Indeed, what a dream run he was having in 2019 especially at the box office! Even a film like Laxmii pulled monstrous TV viewership.
It really is a case of over exposure. I watch the Kapil Sharma show often, and it seems like he's there EVERY OTHER WEEK to promote something....it's too much! He comes and does the usual fun bashing of Kapil, which all gets very old. Even when he's not on the show, his name is mentioned a lot!
To make matters worse, his film releases every second month or so....ITS TOO MUCH!!! Especially when the films are not that good...
