Kajol Calls Madhuri Dixit An Underrated Actor: She Deserved Much More.

Kajol was last seen in Netflix India's anthology Lust Stories in a segment directed by Amit R Sharma, where she shared the screen space with Kumud Mishra.

Kajol says that Madhuri Dixit is one underrated actor who deserved much more than she got. In an interview with Zoom, Kajol was asked to name an underrated actor who hasn't gotten the kind of roles they deserved. Kajol replied that if they're talking variety or range of roles, then the underrated actor would be Madhuri Dixit.

Kajol and Madhuri Dixit were seen bonding and dancing together last year at Manish Malhotra's Diwali party at the designer's residence. Kajol even posted a video with Madhuri from the dance floor, where they're seen singing Abba's iconic track ‘Dancing Queen.' Kajol called Madhuri the ‘dancing queen’ in the caption.

Kajol has said that the reason why there are more women-led content on streaming is because the economics of moviegoing is dominated by men. She added that now that women have started to earn more, they'll probably dictate what kind of movies they want to watch on the big screen.

Madhuri was one of the biggest actresses of her time and even now she gets a lot of respect from current generation actors/filmmakers.

Yes her latest comeback has been a series of bad choices. She needs to take up better roles on OTT and shift focus from the 'dancing queen' image and show that there is more to her.

I didnt see her OTT show with Sanjay Kapoor. Was it any good?

I think she meant Madhuri never got the roles where she could showcase her acting prowess much..ofcourse she has done some good roles but there isn’t that many.Thats one of the many reasons why there’s a section of people who always question her popularity as an actress and call her an average actress.

The Fame Game show was a decent watch..and Madhuri did well but again that wasn’t a challenging role.

Madhuri underrated.. OK

Kajol overrated. Got too much attention than needed

Madhuri was widely accepted as a superstar. In what way was she underrated? If anything, she was given more credit than due for her strictly average acting.

Actually, same for Kajol. She was not superstar but was an overrated actress.

Both ladies were hugely successful, and nothing succeeds like success. So they were hailed as the ultimate actors.

Word. People will say anything to be a contrarian. Madhuri was everywhere in her era right up until 2002. She was hailed by the masses and the critics. Heroines dropped out of movies because some of them didn’t want to play second fiddle to her. If that’s underrated Idk what overrated is. Maybe Nandita Das would like to opine.

She isn't talking about success and adulation. Headline is misleading.

Kajol said Madhuri didn't get more of the kind of roles she deserves. She was capable of being much more than a dancing queen but didn't get roles to showcase that.

Kind of agree to her. Watched her OTT movie Maja Ma. She still has that spark and the subtlity in emotions that isn't a strong point of BW movies
