Secondly, can anyone "force" you to save their lives by telling you that 'this is your duty'? As a doctor you try to save lives but in the event you failed...do ppl say "you failed in your duty"?

You are just telling me from the doctor's perspective

I asked you from the patient's perspective...that as a patient can I "demand" you save me and perform your duty?

The real point here - if a doctor is considered a savior for his/her actions in saving people's lives

So as a patient if a doctor saves my life and I am not grateful to him/her...what does that make me?

And if I am grateful ....then it's fair to say that the doctor was indeed my savior?

@bold - how is admitting that the patient’s life was saved by the doctor an insult to the doctor? if anything- its an appreciation for his sincerity and skills!

U know a doctor who saves someone's life..at that time he is like God in plain clothes ..India me I have heard people saying to doctor ap to bhagwan ka roop hai humare liye...

Arohi can’t say. Early it benefited her with Abhir gone and AK moving on. Right now don’t know what will benefit her more. I still don’t trust her. Shefali will support AB but will sympathize with AK.

A doctor keeps performing his duty inspite of his patients gratefulness. He doesn't serve to earn their gratitude or anything in return. Whether he is getting blessings or blame, he continues to do his job.

And it's understandable for a grieving patient to react untowards in the hospital. He saved their life once doesn't mean his current mistakes and all future mistakes are excused ...they think dr Birla was responsible for their sil's death hence they overreacted ..plain and simple...why should they not bec abhim did them a "favour" by saving their life once upon a time ..nobody will. Dr Birla of all people must be knowing this .

He has the freedom to not serve. He's not being forced.

If he's serving , and if it's not selfless , it IS an insult to the profession.

Just as akshara doesn't deserve to be treated as a human with mistakes.

Nobody is asking him to be close to goenkas. He doesn't have to. He can move on in his life easily away from ungrateful / toxic / Inhuman people who aren't grateful to him for saving their lives.
