While trying to catch up with him, Tara trips and there are shards of glass on the floor which pierce her hand. Mahavir comes there and they discover a string which was meant to get people to trip. They're slightly perplexed: Tara says Dhruv has gone to see the King and she should be there; Mahavir tells we better get you treated first.
Maharaj slashes the imposter's hand, but he finally manages to land a blow.
These are the only two points that could help Dhruv in his quest for innocence- the fact that the killer has an injury on his left hand, and that Tara might pause to think about who put the string and the glass shards in the way.
But, the conspiracy against Dhruv (orchestrated by Senapati or time or a combination of the two) is a pretty well orchestrated one. I'd still say this is "time" because that dialogue again cropped up in Tara's mind just as the King was about to be killed.
Dhruv is in SERIOUS trouble because Tara has seen "him" go towards the King's chambers, and King has himself named him as the killer. In the 17th century, without any forensics or CCTV footage, this is pretty damning evidence, and you wouldn't exactly blame Tara for having doubts on him- both are events she's witnessed with her own eyes.
The only other thing Dhruv could point to is his door being locked, but again there's no proof or witness to back him up.
