Yes in ipl he survived due to Rashid Khan, Noor etc who helped him take wickets. Rashid also bats so well in crunch situations.

its not the senior players or captians or coachs fault honestly , its the fault of selection commitee and how these players are selected from the past few years.

the senior players like kohli rohit and many others were nurtured and groomed with the og team of 2011 even the og team which won WC had experienced players who were playing international cricket for a decade. they had that much resilience and experience thats why they were able to survive.

but indian team in the past 3-4 years in order to give chances to more youngsters who play well in particular ipl season they have been shuffling players constantly. as a result no one has that permanent 3-5 years of international cricket experience.

there may be few youngsters who may play well in certain games against certain teams but we need to select atleast 5-6 regular players who should be selected in every squad and play against every countries in every format only then we can get good players like we had in 2011 squad ,

talent may benefit them in certain games against certain teams but the more they play with variety of teams in different formats and in various international stadiums that experience will help them in the long run.

this is what is lacking in todays indian team i guess.
