Perfect Example

This show is the perfect example of how one ruins a good thing.

It's much harder to write an original story and make it stick. These guys got everything on a platter. Most of the cast is excellent, they have no budget issues to compromise quality over, and most importantly, they already had a fleshed-out story that got terrific ratings. They only had to make it better, fix the loopholes.

Instead, they've turned it into a mishmash of plots that have no proper flow or consistency.

What is it with PH and showing EMA whitewashed?

Even though Saiba and Angad are the main leads, their siblings are also an essential part of the story; they're completely ignored. There is no build-up whatsoever; their characters are stagnant.

I know in the original version of the story, Keerat's character aspires to be an IAS officer, and Seerat becomes a model for their company.

Making Seerat entirely delusional, Garry, with zero consciousness or care for anyone and using the younger two as props is an underutilisation of the characters and actors.

They've even ruined Saiba's character.

It's such a shame because everything rarely aligns for actors and PH. They had everything to make it a hit, but sadly, I don't see the show running for very long if it keeps going at this rate. Especially with a plot.

Yes , should have stuck to og storyline which was funny and gave every actor meaty parts.

Don't understand ema whitewash chants. Itv routinely whitewashes sexual and physical abuse by male leads but ema is where we should draw line?

Ema has not been whitewashed currently. Every character , even vamp is scolding Inder. He has lived his last 10 years depressed and alcoholic, away from his love.

Ema will be whitewashed when Angad marries Seerat and Angad Sahiba continue their nonsense. (Guessing that will be plot because both past shows on Star of this ph showed ml married to vamp and continue love story with fl)

Like Sairat who were married and claimed they loved each other and would never love their spouses. Same with Annu and Gungun from Kkis.

Though I don't understand this ema whitewash ema whitewash complaints. Itv normalises all sorts of sexual violence and physical abuse by male lead because you know misunderstanding, those are actual severe crimes that should land you in jail. This ema whitewash is what? Ema is not a crime.

We excuse ema when it comes to leads. Anurag was married to Komolika but always ran after Prerna and it was shown as iconic couple because Komolika was vamp. Was it ema whitewashing or true love?

Can I question why we have no issue excusing literal rape attempt by male lead of show which is a serious crime, or consider couples like Arshi iconic where he constant blackmailed her to stay in marriage while mentally and at times physically harassing her?

What is this hullabaloo about ema? Inder was not allowed to divorce, was stuck in an unhappy marriage, looked outside , found love. His gravest mistake was he ignored his parental responsibilities towards both kids.

But Daarji forcing women from his house to not work is legally domestic abuse but he is good human cause no ema?

Agreed with show is crap but needed to get this off my chest.

And my stance won't change. Infidelity is morally wrong in a lot of ways , but not a serious crime.

Why will Angad marry seerat ?? Yes this ph loves 3rd angle, so 3rd angle dikha ke khatam kardenge….

Aur EMA kaha se aaya huh ? Angad outrightly denied Seerat and called her sternly that this is his last warning.

I personally meant the idea of Seerat obsessing over her sister's husband.

Even if i don't like the idea of it, i can understand some third person eying the guy but a sister eying her brother-in-law is too much.

This happened in this PH's other show as well which i won't name but it was the same case between the brother-in-law and sister-in-law.

Maybe whitewashing wasn't the appropriate word but why even show it and obsess over that story line?

I get that he was her fiance but she was the one who chose Garry over Angad. Now that her sister is married to Angad, it should be a complete no-no regardless of how selfish and self-centered she is.

I don't understand why writers can't draw lines.

The fact that they are focusing on it what's ticking me off even more along with the poor execution of the overall story.

All I was saying is ema whitewashing(don't agree with whiteash) happens in shows when lead marries vamp and the fl and ml still love each other and continue their love story. Happened in both the recent Ghum Ganja ph shows.

If the ema whitewash comments was meant for Inder, i don't see any whitewashing yet. Not watched today's episode but up until yesterday Inder suffered over a decade , he is getting bashed by everyone including Seerat so idk where the whitewash was.

Seerat wanted money and power, she got it already. Why she would want to sleep with Angad, risk Brars finding out and lose Brar bahu status idk. In og Dyuti was jealous Jeth had all power in house and kept trying to get the power for her husband so she could rule.

But these people changed every single character's core to start Ghum again and now almost every episode annoys the heck out of you.

Seerat wants what Sahiba has, status of Angad singh Brar’s wife, the way Angad stood for Sahiba many times.

Also real money & power comes from being Angad’s wife which is Sahiba place.

Very well said. It's a pity that they are killing the potential of their own show. And the cast? I think they have the best cast of all the lot and yet.. We get subpar content with regressive and disgusting plots that have no proper endings. They run 2-3 tracks at simultaneously, makes a khichdi of 'em and thrust it down our throats. Forget the PH, why is the Channel okay with all this?

And Inders and Manbirs relationship is just painful to watch.. And the worst of all.. is Darji.. Such a sick dude.. He says the most randomest shit and gets through all kand he's made...

What is the need to bring this Inder Manbir thing? Instead they cud have simply explored Veer Keerat story, or Seert-Garry. My favorite is Sahan, even then I feel the other couples and actors are being wronged.. As u said used as mere props... this is just outrageous! Even Sahan for that matter, despite being the leads, u get their scenes like water in a desert.. Other shows have lead combo scenes almost everyday... Here though everyday you get hall drama with the family gawking at one another.. which is simply laughable... The biggest disservice however is done towards the actors playing Seerat, Veer and Keerat. seerat especially.. BecuSe now even if she goes away for a few days audience is going to be 'phew thank god she's gone... ' unlike Garry... Because they've butchered her character and made her into almost a sexual harasser... If she were given OG Dyutis role.. Shed have done a great job.. The lady plying Seerat is a nice actor..

I really like this show... Only and only because of the cast.. Or else id have signed a petition to end this horrifying mess.
