studio वर 150 cr cha loan hota te 250 cr var gela. EMI चे हफ्ते देणं अशक्य होऊन बसलं होतं, असा एक msg sm वर फिरतोय. म्हणावं तितकं काम मिळत नव्हतं.

I think माणसाने काळा बरोबर बदलायला हवं. राज कपूरच्या मुलांनी RK स्टुडिओ विकला तो काय उगीच ? स्टुडिओ maintain करणं खूप खर्चाचं काम आहे आणि स्टुडिओ मध्ये shooting करण्याचे दिवस कधीच मागे पडले. Actual location वर, गल्ली बोळात, घरात कीवा foreign ला shooting होतात गेली काही वर्ष.

I don't agree because studios are still used extensively for web series and soaps. Also, directors like Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ashutosh Gowarikar shoot their movies in studios.
Filmcity and Filmistan, both in Goregaon East and West respectively are still functional after several decades.
may be few exceptions but shooting in studios doesn't happen the way it used to be. Many webseries in India are shot in remote places, where the locations look real or they are real. Here ramoji film city is one big example but it's a huge huge land where anything can be done. RK studio, natraj studio, rajkamal, kamalistan so many have closed down after seeing drop in their business. Famous studio at tardeo is mainly used for dubbing etc. I do see movie locations in the credit titles at the end of movies and serials it hardly shows any names of studios.Originally posted by: NerdyMukta

Now computer graphics does lot of work for all mythological serials and movies. This guy could have sold it off to real estate co if that was going to make some money.
Filmcity is in demand but that's because it is close to all actors and producer, directors, ND studio is in karjat which 2-3 hrs distance from Mumbai.
