1000 episodes milestone for Anupamaa

Show has completed 1000 episodes which should be an occasion of joy and celebration but also one to introspect. Even after all this while, Anupamaa is still stuck in Shah shanty as an unpaid maid. She could not go to USA (said to be her dream) for xyz reasons and was a failure at every front in terms of her career.

It's a matter of shame that this character was one with real potential, who could have achieved a lot. But makers prompted by backhand politics have reduced it to a caricature. She has barely shown any growth. There was only a brief period when she was actually independent, taking a stand for herself and giving it back when needed. This was when she had moved out of the shanty into a flat. Then everything regressed all over again.

Don't have much else to say. The cast and crew definitely deserves congratulations and applause for their efforts. But keeping that aside, pretty sure that even after the next 1000 episodes Anupamaa will still be at the same place after having done nothing. But hey, at least she ijjj a MAAA

I am happy about the 1000 episode milestone. There are some things I didn’t like about the show but I feel Anupama character had a growth arc.

What haters don’t understand is that there is a difference between talent and passion. Yes, Anupama is portrayed to be a good dancer but she is more passionate about her children and wanting them to succeed. Yes, most of her kids are ungrateful and greedy but a parent cannot give up hope.

Why do people feel that success can only be the people who are career minded. Anupama just wanted to be respected by the people she is closest to. People should be financially independent to gain respect but their job and career should not be your whole life like it is for MD and Rakhi

Also how is job whole life for rakhi? She clearly spent more time with her daughter than Anupama does with CA, this despite being a single mother who did not have such a big family to help

Which is also why her daughter is much much better than any of Anupama’s kids.

As usual show is teaching wrong lessons.

I really wished to explore Anupama journey after her divorce with shah , and let her leave shah family forever and she travel and organised dance competition around the world and then When she visited America , wahi per woh Anuj se mile.

I always wish that makers kept Anuj image the same the way when he introdued in the show. Makers should ahev focus on anuj story for nameste America instead of Anupama and Vanraj love story.

Instead of introduced maaya track , they should have made malti devi track .

Only growth i could see in her character was when she fought with everyone to marry anuj but alas she didn't value her marriage too by her messed up priorities for shah house. Though i dont blame only her for it but anuj too bcoz he is in love with muchhad vanraj and his family as much as anupama 🤡

Far too easy to blame career oriented women like Rakhi when Anupamaa herself has accomplished nothing. Btw, the next gen doormat trained by Anupamaa, ended up eventually relying on Rakhi (and the institution painstaking built by her) after badmouthing her all this while, so that she could provide for her worthless Tamashah phemli

I found it hilarious as Anupamaa is actually passionate only about giving free service to her ex in-laws and belencing "jimmedaari ka matka" of the ex-husband who cheated and abused her. And what career could someone like her possibly have, when she runs away from any opportunity at the drop of a hat. The list of ventures she has abandoned, is far too long to even recount here.

If she wants to be a homemaker, so be it. Why should anyone judge? But when this show started out, she was a homemaker, devoid of any respect or dignity for her efforts and it was to be about her search for her individual identity. If her mission was solely to gain respect from this Tamashah phemli, why did she marry again? We have seen how she barely bothered about her husband or CA. If being a mother to CA was the priority, why engage in this Apne vs Sapne drama? Even amongst her self proclaimed family, her role is to just cry, spout bade bhagwaan nonsense and give unnecessary long lectures veering on mahaanta and hypocrisy.

The truth is that leaving other things aside, Anupamaa herself is not capable of even maintaining her own dance academy in the long run. All she can do is prepare khichdi kachumbar and 5 minute chai phataphat for the abusive hag who she venerates and forgets her own mother for. Bravo

They could have really shown her balancing her own small scale business or dance academy and also managing her family relations. Becoming a self confident and independent woman. But no, all they showed is Bhashanpamaa and redemption of Acche Pita.

The regional versions are depicting it so well. An example of how even a middle aged homemaker can carve out her own identity, find love and an overall inspirational journey. Here, Soorajpamaa is literally a caricature, spends all her precious tame attending to Tamashahs and her progress in life, leave alone career, is non existent. The hyped Maan romance scenes are basically lollipops in between her general state of being miserable despite marrying someone who was supposed to support and empower her
