I mean. Why would you buy shampoo promoted by someone with fried hair

I don’t buy anything promoted by celebrities. I look for active ingredients in the cosmetics, bath products that suit my skin and hair and go from there.

Kat's Kay Beauty has some really good products. Especially lipsticks & lip liners.

Maheep Kapoor's collaboration with KJo's Tyani Jewelry has some beautiful pieces, pricing is really great too, bought few sets and received lovely comments for all.

PC's Sona Restaurant in NYC is doing ok, I guess , especially with the price tag.

Pretty sure Katrina’s Kay Beauty and PCs Sona and Anomaly, are doing well. Anomaly was one of the top celeb brands in UK, I think.

Deepika launched her skincare brand- a little too late, but let’s see if it survives the first five years… it does not seem like something she is super passionate about tho, like Katrina is with Kay Beauty.

Idk about Bollywood celeb wives business ventures, but I am fairly sure Gauris interior design businesses is doing well.

I think tho many celebs launch their own production houses , Venture Cap firms as angel investors and reap the profits Pre IPO. There have been articles about Deepika launching her own VC firm, I think many Hollywood celebs are also into that (Kim K got into it with Sky Partners).

The smart ones will get into real estate, and VC, along with movies, where they can invest with expert people… I kinda see book deals and skincare/clothing as a fad to get into, as a face of the brand to push products and you fold up shop when the interest is no longer there.

I have heard Preity Zinta, Abhijeet (singer), Hema Malini, SRK, Amitabh, Ajay, Sunil Shetty, Anil are more into real estate. And have an eye for buying property and land at right places, which have turned out to be good investments and some of them have also rented out their properties at exorbitant prices.

Some artistes have started own acting schools, music schools, personality development and grooming classes or fashion/jewellery/interior design schools, filmmaking courses, voice training courses, language training courses etc or own eateries.

I have no idea how many of them are indeed good or succeeded. I am aware Suresh Wadekar has own music school but no idea if it is as good. AR Rahman also has his own music school and its reviews seem good.

I wonder, are Anupam Kher's acting classes any good? Worth it? Did Mukesh Khanna's acting institute take off?

I remember Dharmendra's dhaba did not really do well in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh and its preparation is not that good. The interiors always looked like self promotion for Dharam and his films but food was not as great. In Murthal also Dharam's restaurant was not able to beat existing dhabas there in terms of food, taste etc.

I once gifted Johnny Depp's Sauvage perfume to my husband. He said it smelt too strong. Everyone else liked it though. 🥺
