His nephew is piggybacking and he's loving it!
Aamir Khan is a strange, strange man. There are many who love him to death, but there's no denying-the guy's eccentric. He'll shun award-ceremonies, blog about a dog called Shahrukh and stay away from all the 'glam' in the industry. But the guy sure knows how to work it all in his favour. And these days, even though this has nothing to do with the Johar camp, Aamir's motto is 'it is all about loving your family.'
'Family', in this case, is Aamir's nephew, Imran Khan. If looks are any measure to go on (and they most definitely are!), the apple hasn't fallen too far from the tree. He does look dishy and passes off as a shy soft spoken upcoming star.
We remember how Aamir used to look in the QSQT days. Sweet, sweet nostalgia! As for his acting capabilities, it would only be clear when the film releases and the way in which he handles his career. Aamir couldn't do a thing for his aspiring actor brother Faisal, in spite of co-starring in the disastrous 'Mela' with him. He must be wishing as hell that Imran's luckier!
Also the thing we wanted to talk about was the 'hatke' way in which Aamir launched the music for Imran's first flick, 'Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na.'
Instead of going the conventional way, Aamir made it a more intimate affair. The actor officially released the film's music by going to legendary actor Shammi Kapoor's house on May 20 and seeking his blessings. After all, Aamir considers Shammiji to be his lucky mascot. He happened to be a close pal of his uncle Nasir Hussein and worked in many films made by him. And it's a ritual to seek his blessings before every important release! (guess 'Mela' and 'Mangal Pandey' missed out this all important thing!)
Didn't we mention Aamir's sometimes eccentric? Also present at the launch were Genelia, A.R. Rahman and Kiran Rao.
Talking about Shammi Kapoor, Aamir said, "Shammiji's blessings are important. It's kind of a ritual for us to go and present him the first copy of the music. This time it's Imran's launch and it's all the more important".
I'm sure Imran's getting one-on-one lessons from the cuddly Shammiji on '10 Ways to Yahoo!!!'
