Mostly cute but occasionally kinda cringe…like some emotional scenes ppl started going lmao in the theatre (when ranveers mom sings in rebellion, when ranveer starts singing on the road in the midst of traffic…all of dharamendras scenes were cringe to watch ……didn’t work for me)
Ranveer made the film work…his overdose of energy was getting tiring to watch in cirkus and all but he’s correctly moderated in this…never overacting and his lines and delivery actually worked (the usual broken English to generate comedy, but he’s not annoying af like abhishek In happy new year)..he did really well in emotional moments too
The best scene of the movie for me is Rocky having an emotional meltdown in ranis house about their excessive wokeness and judgyness and how he can’t get a hug in their house…. It was so awwwwww. he nailed this scene..
Alia ain’t bad, but she’s kinda just meh here ….I didn’t buy her as an intelligent fiesty feminist …sorry…there’s more to playing a strong woman, than wearing sarees with a big bindi and oxidised jewellery and saying things like “conditioning” and “patriarchy”,”regressive”, “objectifying”….it’s all very surface level like the Twitter brigade…ranveer who plays a loud,ott person has a far more layered and nuanced performance than hers …
Jaya b seems to have forgotten how to act with the single sour expression she carries throughout ..what u see in promo is her face in the entire movie till it finishes ..….but ppl burst out clapping when she said “key diya…bas keh diya”…
Shabana and dharmesdra track didn’t work for me at all
The songs were shit ….sorry but this is the worst kjo album of all time …and even worse picturized …so tardy
it does sterotype Bengali’s and punjabis but its gaze is not offensive to either cultures ..
Hi. Is there any kiss or sex scenes or any thing sexual like that because i want to go with the fam and they are not that comfortable.
