Lol. People still arguing over who the last superstar of our gen is. 😆 There isn’t a doubt about SRK being that one for the longest time, sharing that title with Salman for a brief period post 2010. It’s not just movies what makes them a superstar inside or outside the circle. Even though SRK was constantly giving many flops in 90s as he was working in back to back 4 movies a year, it was already his charm, personality, humility and respect towards the seniors and the women around him that made those FF award nights such genuine vibes. All senior actors, Dilip Kumar saab, Zeenat Aman, Simi Grewal, Rekha, Amitabh, Amol Palekar and so many artists were SO fond of him, affectionate. SRK’s presence screamed of that aura, of his superstardom.
Media or not, the happiness and joy that he spread all around whenever he was on screen, it was evident BW adored this man !
Even today it’s endearing to read about Suchitra Krishnamoorthy and so many other artists interviews still being in an awe of him. If he is not the blessed one, not the superstar of our 30+ gen kids, then I dont know who is.
Salman to an extent has this connect, but not amongst the seniors. Aamir people could never connect to him personally, so he wasn’t even in the competition of being superstar ! Sad but truth. It’s not just ‘BO’ that makes or breaks superstardom IMO. The game is much more beyond that, and SRK with his intelligence and charishma, somehow cracked the code and won it long back. Game over for others.
Many actors receive such glowing praises from the industry. Alia is another example. Are we talking about forging connections or relationships within the industry?
