Reyansh did not get any mother's affection & love something might have trigger him that lead to Reyansh drunk situation & Aradhana following him. He is crying like a kid & cuddling her since she is giving the motherly affection & love that he yearns and Aradhana is giving him that affection. Reyansh type of guys finds their mom in their wives and he finds it in Aradhana. So i don't think revenge it is, its something related to Aradhana past

Aradhana Past,Aaransh falling in love and Aransh break up is all connected including Kadambari past. A slap can't trigger it when he very well knows Aradhana is different & she does not take such nonsense and he get away with it
