Great.

It had to be.

Barbie is one of biggest global pop culture phenomena in history.

It is a brand like none other.

It's actually a flop they're hiding numbers like brahmastra no one liked barbie due to wokeism they made ken a villain actual winner is Oppenheimer I'm glad it got the praise it deserves RDJ, Cillian And Emily's performance we're praised

Am I curious to watch the movie? No. Would I be curious about an Indian Barbie? Yes.

Preferably (slightly) ironic where the upper (middle) class Barbie from the big town is abducted, can escape and is forced to face rural India (where another language is spoken) with either the ignorance of her 'status' or the complete indifference to it...and meeting a Ken who tries to do a 'Taming of the Shrew' instead of adoring her...(so that they can go against the goons together)

They already did that in Ek Ladka Ek Ladki which was a straight copy of Overboard With Kurt and Goldie. But both movies while hugely problematic were a fun watch.

Didn't know...will take a look (at the Indian one, the other I know) 😊

Edit: Oh, it's a young Salman movie (no wonder that the title sounded familiar but I haven't watched the movie yet).

Edit 2: I imagine another kind of story...nothing to do with Overboard or the Salman remake... but with Indian Barbie having to deal with not being known or treated with the affection/attention she was accustomed to. Barbie isn't snooty or arrogant but simply ignorant of Indian rural life...and intelligent...and rebellious...

Cilian is brilliant, but I loved RDJ the most. Another plus for me was my fav Emily blunt.

This movie isn't all about science behind nuclear power or whatever, it mostly deals with Oppenheimer and his conflict. And does the justice. Nolan knows how to mould his actors and he did.

Oh you're an Emily fan too that's great she's an amazing actress

Naa... Barbie craze is real. Believe me. Even in India biz is picking up due to golden WOM. With Barbie and Oppenheimer people see there are movies outside of those Marvel and DC junks

Is oppenheimer good ? I never really got the hype of Nolan. I liked his batman movies. But Inception went over my head
