Okay
I think I got through some of the posts. My my does this discussion turn heated at points. 🙃🙃🙃🙈
First of all I am shocked it took this long for the discussion to touch the pro life / pro choice topic. I knew with unwanted pregnancy and an emotionally unavailable father, it was going to be at least brushed with. I am glad you guys put forward your point. Same goes to the one where Arnav had made massive mistakes and where Khushi’s devotion is questionable.
I have said earlier that I won’t defend my characters in comments anymore and I would rather let events unfold in the story and them finding out along with you guys.
However. I can maybe talk on somethings which will not be touched upon the FF again. And are the burning questions in this comment section and my DMs 😆
Does Arnav think he is guilty of cheating? Yes. I don’t think it’s a secret anymore that I have to reveal later on in the story. Arnav does think he cheated on Khushi. He is in the self blaming mode. He does have fleeting memories of the night and they are enough to rattle him.
What do I think personally? Is irrelevant at the point. From characters POV he is at fault. Even though everyone who knows him is saying otherwise. Including Akash. He explicitly asked Arnav not to blame himself for sleeping with Lavanya but I don’t think it’s a convincing bit to someone like Arnav who keeps hearing
Always do the right thing chotey.
Did you guys find yourself irritated with him at the decisions he made when he was under tremendous guilt? 😆 Buckle up because his guilt is not going anywhere.
Now Why did he react to la and Manali’s news this mildly?
I see you guys. I hear your frustration at not absolutely obliterating them 😂 god some people want la to be slapped 😂. I know the urge to see him lose it all is high but can I ask you to please trust me on this?
I will urge you to read the thing once again. The first emotion is relief. He does not want a child and has been a mess ever since he had been informed. And he is extremely angry. For those of you who wanted cuss words for lama ( nice name btw 😂) blame it on Aman who jumped at the moment asking about Khushi Bhabhi 😂 ( I see he had gathered some fans in this chapter)
I wrote it earlier too. Akash the simple man asks him to ruin mahesh and Arnav doesn’t. He doesn’t lay the first hand. Manali’s threat was the first chapter till when even she is confident enough to walk into his office and threaten him. That’s the first time she sees him in an avatar this furious. I will leave it to all of you. But do you really think at that time if he could sense that Khushi was a possible target, he would have let go so calmly? His relationship had already ended in his head. To him, this la fiasco did not impact Khush the way he dreaded it would. In fact he was relieved he did not have to use that for divorce. He knows someday khushi is going to get to know. Maybe it will hurt her less.
Why then he would engage in a full fledged war with these two? Won’t khushi get to know that immediately then?
I mentioned it after the first chapter. These memory lanes are not Arnav’s redemption. You don’t have to like or dislike him based on these.
He is still the same character who has made these mistakes that ended up hurting Khushi. In ways that have left her completely broken. These chapters only showed you his intent. The outcome remains the same. Khushi has been hurt and broken beyond what both Khushi and Arnav had wanted or imagined.
If anything, he can just add this into the pile of things which will only increase his guilt.
Edit - there’s no hard and fast right and wrong yet established people. Yeah things have been laid out for you to judge and assess. You have all the right in the world to dislike Arnav and similarly, you have all the right to feel bad for him. Everyone reads fine prints differently and it is alright :)
