TRP (the official offline one) is released on Thursday, and the CM list comes out on Tuesday, so incorporating it as a value might not be feasible.

That being said, most of the popular shows on IF will probably not rank high in the offline TRP charts because this forum caters mostly to the urban youth + NRI crowd. For example, Katha, TMD, DT, BALH all feature in the CM list, but wouldn't be anywhere near the BARC top 10.

I'm not entirely sure what the current algo for CM is, but I'd suggest more weightage for

1) Unique threads created in the last week

2) Number of participants in that thread (unique respondents)

3) Posts being made- this will ensure that forums that have one central EDT for discussion will not lose out to forums where every member posts one thread for every day's episode.

4) Hall of Fame numbers (engagement among users)

5) Unique followers/subscribers added in the last week

I also want to suggest few things for forum ranking calculation which may or may not be useful

1. Number of unique visitors to the forum on daily basis

2. Number of unique likers which is subset of visitors as some ppl are just silent readers .

3. Number of unique thread makers which consists of number of pages more than X numbers as i feel we should not count those threads which don't have much interaction as spammers or fans may just post 1 thread may not come back just to increase forum ranking and a existing thread which has new Y number of comments in a week to avoid pulling threads which are very old..

4. Number of reports too 😆 as the more number of reports the more lively forum is 😆

I personally noticed laugh reaction emoji is sometimes used for mocking personal views of members. I’m talking about the emoji reaction option for posts. My request is to please find a solution for this if possible.

Idk if it is feasible to understand the quality of interaction in the forum posts vs. the quantity. Most of the high ranking forums are usually trashing the shows, because the show is infuriating. While other shows have full fledged discussions about the episode, characters and are of higher quality - which is not reflected in the CM ratings.

In banner contest what's the point of inviting random members who never watched nor care about the serial? Banner is supposed to make a forum aesthetically pleasing right? These people will never visit yet their votes are considered? Didn't get the logic.

It has already been observed by the DTs

As it has already been mentioned .. votes of invitees ONLY will be considered for the period mentioned .
it’s an open forum.. let them vote if they want to … DTs will know which votes to count .
