I think it is important to watch shows like this just to be aware of how manipulative people operate. so, yea it is definitely creepy but good watch. some shows are very negative in that aspect. but here, we know that in the end, azmia and zaki will do well despite the hurdles they are facing. so the show is optimistic from a realistic perspective -- as in, you will face hardships, humiliations but ultimately, how you face your troubles is up to you. so thats a great message to learn and reinforce while you watch.

what I enjoyed about zaki is that he does not have a white knight complex. he is not interested in swooping in on a white horse to save the day. he respects azmi as an individual and as a woman. he does not see her as some fallen woman or a damsel he has to rescue. he is willing to be a shield but ultimately, azmi has to make that choice for herself which she does. so that was nice to watch.

what I really appreciate about zaki is that he is a pragmatic realist. in some ways, the hard turns that life has given him has made him tough -- much tougher and resilient than azmi. same with his sister nadra. so he isn't throwing caution to the wind just because he is in love. he is well aware of what he is taking on with azmi but he is unafraid -- it is not like he didn't face social downfall after his father died or financial hardship or having to rebuild their lives or being responsible as the eldest and son.

because he has already faced these mountains, he is in some ways unafraid. so when he tells azmi that there is always a choice and God has given hands to work hard to change destiny -- he genuinely believes it because that has been his life. so when he says that nadra will survive and will get a better proposal if it is God's will, he believes it. he is not abandoning his sister or mother for a momentary passion but he is aware that problems will come and sometimes, you have to choose yourself first and let the cards fall where they may.

so zaki is actually really centered and it was enjoyable to watch a ML still be himself even after he has fallen in love. he has not lost his brains or his character.

As always Mango loved reading your insights, so so true, everything you have said about Zaki. I love how Azmi said I don’t want my badnami to transfer onto him. Such a lovely way to show that in love, we want to protect the person we love, even if it is from ourselves…and no matter the gender. What a refreshing way to show love… otherwise in the name of love and support there is a lot dysfunctional co dependency is shown and told in love stories. It’s like you said in a way, it’s the corollary to Zaki not being a typical knight in shining armor who sweeps her away. Azmi for all her naïveté still is so strong from within that she wants to fight the battle by herself even if it seems like she is giving up or drowning she wants to do it on her own. In a way, because Zaki doesn’t “sweep” she hasn’t developed subconsciously or otherwise a skewed dependency on him. How healthy is that!

The writer did a great job crafting these emotions. Loved the episode.

thats a great point because it is easy to think of her as weak as she cries a lot and was manipulated so easily in the beginning. however, standing up for oneself requires strength and for some, it is a step by step process -- that takes a lot of courage because it is not something that is normal for azmi's character unlike someone like nadra for whom protecting her situation comes above all else. so show of strength looks different depending on the personality.

Is there anything that Zahid Ahmed can't do? What a heart touching performance in today's episode and so well performed by Kinza Hashmi as well. Brilliant performances. Kudos to team " Mere Ban Jao"

well the video has gone viral. so what happens now? zaki is taking the blame hoping it will offset some of the scandal. poor fella. if azmia doesn't step up now and start fighting like a lioness, then zaki doesn't stand a chance and will be in jail.

I want Azmiya to have enough strength to take a legal action against Fardeen .

I wish this drama aired 2 episodes a week. otherwise, lots of stuff been happening every week.

not sure where you stopped but let me give a gist. so fardeen has been behind azmia and trying to push and blackmail her into submission. his goal is to humiliate her while getting her back. zaki was giving her full support. at one point, she was so bothered she wanted to kill herself but zaki talked her out of it.

he knew about the video when he saw fardeen blackmail her with it and try to force himself on her. zaki rescued her at that point. however, he didn't tell azmia that he saw the video as he didn't want to embarrass her.

meanwhile her family was looking for a rishta and they fixed her wedding. fardeen's wedding to farah was also on track. when fardeen finds out azmia is getting married, he wanted her to run away from her wedding and go to his his wedding (on the same day) and cry and plead in front of everyone that he should take her back -- then he would act like he is the bigger person and marry azmia and give life to her. yea sick man he is.

azmia finally told her mom and while she was upset about the video, she still gave her support. she was taken aback to find out fardeen's true nature. she confronts fardeen trying to talk some sense into him and is shocked when he threatens her. she tells him that she will arrange azmia's wedding to him but he tells her that he will not agree unless azmia is fully humiliated and broken. at this, mama realizes fardeen is a devil.

the wedding day approaches and fardeen is walking around on a high. azmia feels she has no choice but to go along with what fardeen wants. however, mama is really upset and so is talking to zaki. she asks why he is supporting her daughter this much. when she realizes zaki might have feelings, she asks if he would be willing to marry azmia. she feels like azmia would be safe from fardeen if she was in zaki's house. azmia initially disagrees because it is a huge disservice to zaki but he convinces her that this is his choice and will. so they leave and get quietly married at his friend's house. meanwhile mama is stalling by not going for the wedding and she ends up passing out in the house. when the brother and sister-in-law come back from the cancelled wedding, they think mom passed out because azmia ran away with zaki.

fardeen is furious to find out azmia got married to zaki and he releases the video. everyone is shocked to see the video and as usual, he does a drama in front of his family. however, his father knows him and tells him that he made a huge mistake. as he says, azmia is like an ant. if you step long on ant, eventually the ant will turn back and bite you till you bleed. however, fardeen just laughs it away. zaki gets arrested as the one who put out the video. zaki keeps quiet in a hope to save azmia. however, at the police station, she has now identified fardeen as the one who released the video and the one she made the video with. so storm is approaching.

meanwhile zaki's family kicked out azmia when he was in jail and she was reduced to hanging out with beggars. yes, totally dramatic and fardeen just laughs in relish when he sees her on the street. farah thinks fardeen might feel bad for azmia but is a bit surprised to hear him say firmly that he is happy that she is down on the ground. farah is getting a sense that something is off because on her wedding day, both father and son keep talking and she feels that she maybe made a mistake.

in the promo, zaki is telling azmia that what happened to her was unjust. looks like the time for ant to bite back is happening soon.
