Honestly, I think, Deepika is beyond those kind of roles...Alia still has a way to go to play the mature roles Deepika has played...they are really different in charisma and screen presence yet both rather well casted for the characters they had to enact.

I would not have liked to see Deepika as a Gangubai (Bhansali in any way has shown a weird view on her potential as an actress).

If you go through the characters both have played, none of them, imo, would have suited those the other had played.

Actually, I find Alia being miscast in her two period movies Kalank and Gangubai and completely wasted in Brahmastra, but well cast in her other movies...and excellent in the one she produced with RCE.

And Deepika with her expressive body language should not be in a movie like the one the Jhumka song belongs to...

Ranveer gave two big name directors their first ever box-office disaster and then another smaller disaster to top it off last year. He should be thanking his stars, Aloo is bailing him out with this one. 😆

Alia probably regrets signing this if anything, but she can't say no to Karan. She is probably bound to him under some satanic ritual. 😆

People need to stop debating Alia vs Deepika. It's obvious the future is Queen Ananya Pandey. Just wait until she learns to act, dance, give great expressions, speak properly, express properly, give even a single expression where the audience understands what emotion is being conveyed, etc. As soon as she learns those, it'll be over for all of your favorites

I think this is atleast looking at 120 Cr, somewhere around TJMM. Given random romcoms are crossing 80 Cr.

I personally think a result under YJHD is underwhelming for Karan though. And I don't think it's getting there.

She just needs to learn to tone it down sometimes and she can be okay actually. Her dancing is okay too. Did you watch Atrangi Re? Her acting wasn't bad!
