Exactly! Leaps are generally given to explain how the couple is 'adhoora' without each other. The struggles one faces are supposed to be the building blocks of the story so that the audience connects with the characters more and more and sympathises with them. Also the struggles are somehow supposed to be the punishment, depending upon the arc of the leap and the characters but here... connect to hum nhi hi hue characters se, ulta jo connection tha wo bhi disrupt ho gya. Aur struggle kya tha Isme? Murtasim marrying haya or meerab living off with others' ehsaan. We cannot call it struggle because wo dono ka apna choice tha. Kisi ke ehsaas tale dabna (meerab ka struggle) aur kisi ke upar ehsaan krna (murtasim ka struggle)
