Indira is a fairly popular leader thanks to 1971 victory and tough measures she took in Mizoram, Assam and Punjab and her untimely death which is still seen as martyrdom by a lot of Indians.

Even not all right wingers hate her. They like her for above reasons and especially for stuff like govt's forced sterilisation programmes targeting slums and members of a particular minority community.

She is also liked for inaugurating VHP's Bharat Mata mandir.
