Abhimanyu is a master manipulator. I mean, atleast you can see it with Manjiri but Abhimanyu is the sly one who waits for the right time to strike.

Previously, he just picked up Abhir for the private birthday party and when Kairav brought a legal order on him which stated that he must take AkshNav's permission before taking Abhir (any normal person would inform the residents of the house a kid is staying with anyways), he used it as an excuse for custody battle. AkshNav already stressed about surgery plus add custody battle to it.

Now, he gives an idea to convince Abhinav for MuKa, makes the wedding possible. Abhir told Abhimanyu that Akshara said that she will reveal the truth when he is a big, big boy. Abhimanyu agrees with it, apparently convinces his Mom too but now when AkshNav are already stressed with the marriage arrangements, decides that this is the time to have this convo.

All this without Manjiri's interference at all. Mother - Son totally think alike.
