The writer is definitely showing that Murtasim is the wrong or she wouldn’t have Anwar school him like that. He should have done this long ago. The thing is they both have serious trust issues. Meerab did too, not just with Haya but with the lady from the village too. The slapping (I was fine with since she owed him one) but the spitting and going after his character was pretty bad. I know people are going to say Murtasim always liked Haya, because he’s marrying her now but he didn’t and he doesn’t like her even now. The problem is that Haya always made Meerab insecure and Murtasim constantly underestimated her. He also enjoyed Meerab’s jealousy when Haya was around. He was desperate to see some feelings from Meerab but it was harmful in the long run not acknowledging Meerab’s concerns.
Murtasim on the other hand has always hated Rohail and has felt insecure of Meerab’s closeness to him. I think his insecurity stems from the fact that Meerab has never acknowledged any feelings towards him and has always threatened to leave him. Then to hear Rohail declare his love for Meerab and not have her say anything in response further added to his insecurity.
I understand both their insecurities and they need trust. The problem is that Meerab has to face these allegations that are now put on her. But leaving in the middle of the night with no contact with anyone doesn’t exactly give you the benefit of the doubt. I’m glad Meerab explained why she is hiding the baby from Murtasim. She knows this family and know that they will question her. I’m not saying it’s right, the baby and Murtasim have a right to know, but I understand.
Trust is their biggest issue. How will they overcome it?
