Honestly, I can't remember the last time I watched the show with interest. It's all become too technical and mind games to analyse and interpret, instead of a love story that pulls at the heartstrings.

I can't for the life of me understand how a writer could be THIS bad if MK is sincerely proposing this marriage. She didn't have much going on in her story anyway. Hopefully, it manages to stay true to our analyses these last few weeks and ends decently.

I don't know Nooran, but an educated scriptwriter can't be doing so many blunders just for kicks, right? 😳 If she is, then I'm really grateful to the editors and channel for the drag that has made me pretty detached from the show, and NM for making the leads do terrible things that makes them unlikable.😳

Anyway, I wanted to analyse a few possible scenarios wrt MK's proposal. None of these scenarios reflect well on MM, but at least some are better than the others and could pleasantly surprise us after the torturous weeks we've had.😆

Possibilities

1. MK being the worst lead ever

Points in favour

- never used his brain throughout the show

- soft corner for H since Haya is ghar ki izzat

- Public engagement means he has to go through it

- He is giving his word with the engagement

- Maybe he did lose umeed. Meerab died. He did promise her the ring. Our analysis could be wrong and he could have promised himself too.

- We're getting a whole epi dedicated to Haya-MK on Wednesday, which is to set up why/how he will soften towards her

- MK has always been shown to soften towards Haya over time, forgiving her

- Leads have always only reacted to situations

- They've been showing Haya acting good during the separation, gaining audience's sympathy perhaps? To justify MK marrying her.

- There actually was no trust/respect between the leads

- The writer doing it for shock value with no concern for the leads.

- TRP audience don't care about such things, and here MK isn't even going to marry

- According to the writer, mohabbat mein sab maaf hai

2. MK's revenge against Meerab

Points in favour

- Rohail has told him about the contract and that M didn't allow his advances due to Ro

- MK is feeling betrayed because M abandoned him, and wants her to feel the same. He has done it before during Ro's fiasco when asking her to jump, to make her realise how he felt during that time. He was dying every second. He wants to put M through the same.

- OST: Kisi dhoke mein na tu rehnah, Tujhe pal mein bhula dunga...todu guroor

- In line with his character, ego and all

- could set up Haya’s redemption where she relieves him of his engagement promise at the end

Points not in favour

- MK is not capable of hurting M this way

- Too petty a plan for MK

- Ishq mein no hisaab kitaab😳 Then yeh kya?

- How will M know of it? Even if she knows, his goal of wanting her will not be achieved. He'll never get her back if this happens.

- He won't use H (been jesi) for this revenge, unless he plans to kill two birds with a stone

- He will have to go through the wedding if M doesn't return, which can't be possible if he has proposed only for M's revenge sake.

3. MK's Plan against Haya

- Leads have to grow a brain at some point in the show. If not the end, then when? If he still only reacts after Saba brings news, what's the point of the leads? They might as well be plants🤪

- The whole epi of rotlu-MK and his self-declaration of being in ishq

- All his dialogues throughout the show declaring his commitment to M, and especially declaring how behen jesi Haya is

- Qayamat tak dhoondunga and qayamat tak yeh, qayamat tak woh!

- There's no way M will return if he hasn't been loyal to her. She will accept no less than ishq, and he will have to prove it to her. Otherwise, no way a self-respecting, proud, possessive woman like Meerab would ever return to him.

- It is the best possible scenario that aligns with MK and Mee's character: if there is to be a reunion between these two.

- No sane person would want to marry Haya. Granted MK hasn't been acting sane ever since M left him, but a person would have to be blind and an amnesiac to WANT to marry H. He knows of all her crimes.

- He knows she's one who never changes, because HE had given her those many chances and she never changed. Haya's biggest fault was taking his mercy and forgiveness for granted. She acts straight until he acts normal with her again, and then pounces as a villain again.

That pattern must have been for a reason.

- MK knows H knew MZ. MK knows about the video. MK knows about Naurez situation as well most likely. MK will know about other crimes according to NM's convenience.

- He did warn her in the scene where he promises her the ring. So, he probably figures out something.

- How did he lose umeed suddenly right after claiming to be in ishq?

- No one, no one coerced him to marry H.

- Haya is one such rare villains whose crimes have been in the open throughout the show, and leads have done nothing against her.

Why were these crimes in the open, when the writer could have very easily kept them hidden and saved the leads' characters by keeping them hidden?

- His look in the promo is calculative, especially when he's looking at the ring.

- He has a slight eye roll when talking to Haya in the night scene in the promo. And the dining scene, he looks calculative again, and then tired of her nagging and following around.

- Could be plot point for saving Meerab partially. She could contact to let him know about the baby and realise he hasn't been faithful, so she'd go into permanent hiding.

- What triggers this plan suddenly? Maybe he connects the dots? Learns a few more crimes of H?

- NM loves MK too much.

She didn't let Meerab contact Rohail throughout the separation, not even when at that guest house when M could have very easily called him. She maintained Meerab's loyalty. Meerab is usually the one she pushes under the bus to elevate MK. No way she maintains M's loyalty and ruins MK's.

Points not in favour

- It's a PUBLIC engagement!!

- It humiliates Meerab. Meerab also humiliated him by leaving, so creatives would think it's okay. 2 wrongs don't make it right though.

- NM is the writer🤣 There are no boundaries in her story when it comes to creating DRAMA! And leads marrying another is a fav trope in many shows, but those leads are generally forced into those marriages, unlike our MK here who volunteered

- Don't understand the whole engagement period if it's revenge against H. Shouldn't it be direct attack?

- MK has been dumb throughout the show. Could remain the same until the end.

- Mohabbat mein sab Maaf hai, according to the writer!🤪

Hopefully, they give our leads a win, through the leads actions!

When MK goes to village , is there possibility that MZ comes and says sorry for his deeds , that way he will also remember video and how Haya also knew MZ. For the wedding will MZ, Maryam and Naureez be suprised guests ready to bash Haya

There are 2 villains in this story.

One internal- MM relationship-Haya (We're supposed to feel sympathy for her according to the makers)

One external-MZ-he was the first villain introduced at the beginning of the show. So, it will close with MK winning his land/gaddi.

Simple opposite of faith gets me nothing. What should I do instead rant and rave madly jump to conclusions when I haven't even seen the episode yet. That achieves nothing, might make me feel better for sometime but it doesn't get me what I want.

I agree with everything you said.

She is wearing Meerab dress to like her but is not her

He is in the suit that his wife admired him in, one of the happiest moments of his life

They are having a function that even Meerab and Murtasim didn't have

He tells everyone he was forced in his first wedding, but we know it was his choice to marry Meerab. Will he be compelled to marry again a decision that will nullify his first wedding.

KMK is portrayed and proven to be very smart but with his own flaws.

Incidents where he's been an amazing husband to meerab begins with bringing her foster parents just before their wedding despite MB refusal.

The waleema dance instead of creating a scene he's done nazar utaar and subsided the matter.

As mentioned in episode 11 he's made everything possible by him for meerab's comfort, but she's not willing to accept his offer of friendship.

During episode 3/4 he said he can't even do salaam if he doesnt like a person. So he didn't wish his mum in episode11 because MB slapped meerab in their waleema and he didnt approve that behaviour. Then clearly told MB what's meerab's position which upset

The allergy food track, kidnap track and accident separation he's stood for meerab, he's only a reason away from supporting meerab.

He's supported and agreed on anas matter only for meerab not even mariyum because mariyum is the responsibility of his mum otherwise.

Now let's see why is meerab so reluctant towards handsome murtasim. Is it because of forced marriage or was there a backstory to their current rivalry, may be yes because YZ mentioned about all characters having their own backstories. Perhaps we are going to see them soon to understand better. But with whatever has been provided to us below is my synopsis of meerab.

Meerab thinks murtasim is like zeher remember murtasim thinks haya looks like zeher to him.

So that made me wonder what's 🤔 this zeher it's the dangerous 😳 ☠️ 🐍 like slitherine attitude(reason probably part of backstory) and in episode 7 there's MB telling mariyum everybody in the family knew about meerab's real parents except meerab, which was painful and that made her think murtasim despite of knowing everything never told her and schemed everything to get meerab into the forced marriage. But the reality being murtasim never knew about her real parents. Evidence he asked MB why do you want me to marry that orphan girl.

So with all her grudge it was always a tight rope walk for murtasim and their time away in the relationship makes matters clear for them.

Most of the time challenge is with the incomplete tracks and they make some dialogues irrelevant CVs are clever enough to provide evidences to all the most important dialogues.

One thing with PTV the episodes are limited owing to budgets probably with no sleaze(pemra) but erasing intimate talks and all can create a vacumn which is difficult to grasp especially when it's a romantic serial.

Let's remember be a Roman while in Rome, so hoping for the roller coaster of the ride to end soon with beautiful 😍 memories of all this discussions.

In bold . Yes that’s all we can hope for . There might be a backstory to WHY Meerab behaved in such obnoxious manner with Murtsaum but we will not be shown that . But whatever it was , if it was then too even a stone hearted person would have melted with all the love and care that he or she is getting from their spouse but she didn’t … I think she was meant to be like that … as ziddi, highly obstinate & my way or no way types …. There is this last interview of Yumna where gloatingly she says to all Murtsaum fans that she is going to trouble him a lot . The way she spoke it shows she was ok with the way her character was written . That part ( the way she spoke ) didn’t have a good feel to it . It was like she was enjoying this whole thing .

You have written beautifully about Murtsaum… what all he did for Meerab . Penned so well . He didn’t deserve the treatment he got from her . He certainly didn’t . Poor soul . My heart goes to him .
