Sorry to say but I’m actually loving Dimpy these days, I love how she gives the Shah’s reality checks like Baa Bhagwan and Crinjal and doesn’t tolerate their shit like MAA and Crinjal.
The Shah’s deserve a Bahu like her hope they suffer for eternity for being such pathetic people!

I don't appreciate Dimpy at all. There must be some respect for elders. Anupama is the show that every Indian lady watches and this message you want to give. No, thank you.

There should be ZERO respect for abusers, Baa abuses adopted kids, abuses orphaned child, abuses rape victims, abuses her own daughter in law

Age or anything else doesnt matter if the elder is an abuser

This false sense of respect for abusers is why so many women in India still get killed by mother in laws, kab tak yeh jhooth mooth ka respect ke peeche itne innocent jindagiya ka balidaan karenge?

The message which should go out loud and clear is that abusers dont deserve any respect and should be called out and exposed and humiliated

Respect is something earned from action and deeds, age has nothing to do with it

It is important to put this across as you do, but reading most of the comments on this forum only affirms my belief that the majority of viewers watching this show have a thought process similar to Leela's for instance. Not really talking about the specific post here (no offence to them) and this is just a general comment.

The production house has grasped this very well and keeps cashing in on the same, through their storylines and depiction. They know that whatever is shown can be justified through the lens of Anupama, even if she is repeatedly insulted or takes several steps back. Someone like a Leela deserves respect just because she's an elder and Anupama will always kowtow before her. Someone like a Vanraj will always be forgiven because he's the father and head of the household.

I'd rather, one tries to convince the people around us to not fall for this and end up strengthening such beliefs they may posess through the show, as it can reflect in tangible change gradually in our surroundings

I agree

We need to stop letting us get disrespected in the name of respect to elders

If anyone mil is like leela, trust me they shouldnt be getting so called respect lessons that she is elder so should listen and respect her. That is clear abuse.
