Meeru has left for a lot of reasons. It’s not necessary that a person has to do something for only one reason. It makes her case for leaving stronger with multiple reasons.
The way it has been executed screenplay-wise reflects Meeru’s state of mind, or I’d like to think so-to make sense of it myself.😆
Wasn’t he lying? He lied about his passenger, and the way he thought before answering 1 month, I figured he was lying🤔 But it makes sense to delay a month. Meeru must know she’s pregnant now then.
1 month. Farukh told to Murtasim that he came to Saba’s house 1 month back. I think it was after Meerab left Haveli.
In our desi culture, whenever a man is angry, hurt or confused, he has an option to go out, let out his anger and disappear for a while. Like Murtasim on the cliff.
Sadly most girls don’t have the same luxury. Meerab has tried to run away several times only to be brought back. Sometimes it’s an accident, sometimes it’s out of love (Murtasim’s accident).
Even in Karachi, her plans to vent out to Saba were ruined and she was back to Hyderabad in a day.
What Meerab is doing trusting a random stranger is stupid and dangerous but she isn’t in the right state of mind. She hasn’t had the time to process anything. Sometimes it’s Haya, sometimes Maryam, Rohail, MZ…
She still blames everyone. Meerab needs this separation to collect her thoughts. She is now realizing her feelings for Murtasim.
NM could have definitely written this track better with logic but what’s done is done.
