Why did Manali even give the material to the media before the meeting? It makes no sense. She is a business woman and should have known better. Couldn't she have sent the material after the meeting? Did she believe her blackmail attempt would not work? She was not expecting the damage that would come her way from Arnav for sure, but still. Time will tell what the consequences would be for both her and Lavanya.

So I can see her position, someone who has been browbeaten so many times that she just wants to give in. I wonder if she sees herself in that child, someone bereft of support. Or the child could help bring meaning to her life, one which she had obliterated for others. I can see the anguish that Arnav is going through, but he was responsible for where he finds himself. There is nothing wrong if he doesn't want to have kids, but in marriage that is a decision which should be taken together by the couple.

This was incredibly painful to read! And I mean it in a good way.

True. It is the sorry state of affairs and has nothing to do with her being in a small town. The ignorance, interference is rampant in our society and they take it with them even when they leave it and move elsewhere.

Brow beaten..sure. At least there is a carrot dangling in front of her..a 2 two year old. Maybe she just likes kids..nothing more than that.

Arnav takes decisions for both of them because she let's him. That is what it is..lets just accept it.

Moreover the ff is about Arnav how folks have shaped his life. How the fair and good 24 year old has become the man we see today. Hopefully he will find peace

Khushi was trying to mend things between Arnav and his parents. What was the fallout? Granted, he did not like the village and his aspirations did not align with theirs. There were constant questions about having children. But it seems like there is something deeper. A deeper divide that happened at some point.

Has Shyam really changed for the better? I dread to think that Khushi will marry him and later realise that he is still the same guy he was a decade ago. How much of heartbreak can any person take? Not sure if Khushi can take heartbreaks anymore.

One thing I loved in this chapter was Khushi not asking about Arnav when she called Payal.

The way Arnav has dealt with this whole divorce saga, it was very wrong on his part. And good she did not ask Payal how he was doing.

You cover everything. 😊The man thanked her for everything, has filed for divorce, would not want her presence(both their musings)..would walk away if she was around.

He is not suppose to be unhappy...so she did not ask about his welfare. The way the character is etched I am sure she would have if she knew

I agree that she lets him make decisions. I feel she was always star struck by him, has felt that she wasn’t the person he should’ve been with. I wonder if that’s why she let him lead in many ways, plus the ideas that she imbued from her circumstances. He did get her to think, that question to her dad was that. Like you said looks like she genuinely likes kids, plus a very empathetic soul. Somehow you want her to catch a break.

Good catch 😊 This was done deliberately. Khushi may be missing Arnav terribly, but she was the one to step aside and had the guts to walk out when she felt like she wasn’t welcomed in his life anymore. Ever since that time, Khushi had made no efforts to reach out to Arnav. It has always been him. The only time she talked to him on her own was while bidding him goodbye and leaving his house forever.

As Arnav said, both la and Manali had taken him to be a gentleman who would not do a lot. Was there something more to their plan? We’ll learn. It may not be the case also. Manali did have the backup ready. She called off the news from two other media houses. But this one got out. Her bad luck that now she is on Arnav’s radar.

Khushi wants someone now to love her unconditionally. She wants someone to call her own and someone who can call her own.

Her parents love her but they are more worried about society, about how a alone girl can survive int his world etc etc.

She did love Arnav that way, but did not get that back.

Maybe she hopes that the innocent child can give that love to her which she craves for.

And yes she probably loves kids. It feels even more sadder to think that Arnav did not want her to have it.

Maybe he has his own reasons but she wanted it.

Why is Arnav so afraid to have kids? Its not just about the responsibility. Hasn't he felt responsible for Khushi all this time? There are some emotional scars there. Is Khushi aware of this?

Whatever the reason, he never wanted kids and Khushi did. But they never openly talked about it and let it fester. She never pushed the issue and asked him why he felt that way.

She did not like the parties and he wanted her there by his side. Another bone of contention. She was uncomfortable at these parties because she felt she did not fit in. Was it because people said things or disrespected her in any way? It was not wrong of Arnav to want her presence. You want to share your life and the successes with your partner. Over time her absence would have driven a wedge between them.

It she didn't agree with the values these people embodied, she had to be able to at least tolerate that difference. Like drinking for example. She did not have to drink but she had to be able to be around people who did.

For them to move past this, either he has to give up on that side of his life, or she has to come to terms with it enough that she can accept it.
