Just because he has daughter. Somehow I am not able to wrap my head around it

Also how come Arnav is thinking he didn't offer her kids when in the past Khushi and payal discussion it came up as he wanted to but Khushi didn't stop pill. Confusing

All valid questions. All will be answered in the very next chapter :)

Khushi had spilled out her side of the story to Payal. She had sensed that whatever half hearted attempts Arnav made around leher’s birth, was for Khushi’s sake and he still wasn’t fully ready to be a father. Arnav obviously is unaware of this little detail.

I read my own comment on last chapter to realize I fretted needlessly about divorce news leak.

Lovely twist. A decade and two marriages. The irony. the sleaze bag has changed for the better after it and the rajkumar marriage to the wrong person is in shambles.

Shyam has cleaned both internally and externally in a decade.

A win win situation for both. will take care of the wagging tongues of Khushi getting divorced because she being "supposedly" infertile.

She gets a chance to be a mother and he gets a mother for his 2 year old. Once she spends time with him will realize that he is not a sleazebag anymore.

Nothing wrong in Arnav not wanting kids. Many folks dont. Arranged marriage so they never got a chance to talk about it prior to tying the knot. Not that would have stopped Khushi to marry him.

Another reason beside all he has mused till now why this marriage should have never taken place.

He finally came back to the awful first home and breathed the vile air he detest and cried. Mourning the death of a relationship and a decade of his life.

Hopefully soon he will breathe easy and forgive people not settle scores and get on with his life.

I did not get why Arnav did not want to have kids.

Anyways, what stood out here for me was Arnav believes Khushi's parents and society norms force Khushi to act in a certain way or take decisions without her consent. But he too has done the same. He has forced his decision of not having a child on her. How different is he from the rest of the world then.

I am guessing later on he probably agreed half heartedly but by then she decided not to stop the pills.

Is it too late for Arnav to repent his actions? Maybe the best he can do is find out if the guy Khushi might marry is indeed a good human being or not.

Another emotional and beautifully written chapter.

Hahahaha… you’re kind of a prophet around here no? Maybe it is Shyam’s resurgence 😉

Thanks for liking the chapter. Now the point about what Arnav should do, I think he understands that he has no right to barge into Khushi’s life now. It was a different case when he thought she would be better off in Mumbai, but if she is doing well for herself in her hometown, he has no say in the matter.

Oh my, what a chapter. Arpita, you are a fabulous writer.

Arnav didn't want kids, as he was scared to take responsibility of another human being. I think he was not wrong as it's a big responsibility being a parent.

Khushi wanted it. Their differences were growing. He wanted her by his side in the glamour world. She didn't like it.

They loved each other. We knew Khushi always looked out for Arnav's emotions. But Arnav too understood Khushi's sensitive nature. They didn't bicker but calmly resolved the matter. It says that he also understood Khushi's needs.

May be that's why he tried for a child for the sake of their relationship but I think Khushi didn't stop the pills because she was wiser than Arnav. She knew Arnav wasn't really ready and won't be happy and a good father in the future. So better not to spoil a child's future by bringing him/her in the world.

Arnav always had strong protective instincts. And maybe because of that he always wanted to control their lives. He always thought Khushi was fragile, and so there wasn't equality in their relationship.

But she is strong. She will come out of this grief even with all the pain and hurt.

Khushi's parents are not entirely wrong in their thinking considering the environment they are living in. They want their daughter to be happy, have a second chance at life.

I was with Khushi, when she thought how uncomfortable she would be with physical intimacy with someone else. Let's see what she decides after meeting Shyam and his daughter. May be she will take the chance of being a mother. And if Khushi's father is right in judging Shyam, he is a better person too who will treat her equally.

Arnav I guess was just frustrated with their differences and wanted good for Khushi too. So he thought separation would be better because Khushi might find a better companion in future. Now that it's happening, he doesn't want to destroy it. He can see that the other person can provide Khushi with the happiness that he couldn't offer her.

But he is missing her terribly in his life. One can feel sad for him. But he has to go on as it was him who took that decision.

Thank you so much for the words :)

I really like the point you laid out for Khushi’s parents. They are never the villain in this story. Their heart is always in the right place fir their daughter, and they’re doing the best they can based on their experience of the world and inside the shackles of society they have no way out of. Growing up, I now understand a lot of decisions my own parents took which didn’t make sense to me earlier. But a little contemplation has only increased my love and respect for them. They had always wanted the best for me and there’s not much else one can expect out of anyone! ♥️

So I can see her position, someone who has been browbeaten so many times that she just wants to give in. I wonder if she sees herself in that child, someone bereft of support. Or the child could help bring meaning to her life, one which she had obliterated for others. I can see the anguish that Arnav is going through, but he was responsible for where he finds himself. There is nothing wrong if he doesn't want to have kids, but in marriage that is a decision which should be taken together by the couple.

This was incredibly painful to read! And I mean it in a good way.

Your last sentence 😃♥️. Sorry for being a little sadist. But thank you.

Yeah I know. It’s just weird how everyone who is reading the story immediately agrees and connects with the double standard that is being meted out to Khushi in the aftermath of a divorce. A sad reality in many parts of our place. But one learns to navigate and as you said, Khushi is currently in no state to do so after so many blows. A human with flaws is all this Khushi is :)

Oh your fretting was absolutely not unnecessary. 😃 The leak is the precise reason Khushi’s parents are now in a frenzy. While earlier they were going to look for matches calmly. There’s an unsaid pressure on Khushi to say yes.

As I wrote to savera84, Khushi’s decision fir Shyam will be here way too quickly. I don’t plan on dragging that suspense for long.

Arnav sure needs a lot more help than he is letting on. I don’t think he is the kind of a character who would let go of revenge anymore. He had been pretty adamant to Manali that a lot of wrongs have been done to him, and to be fair, this news has hurt Khushi. Manali and Lavanya are not getting off the hook. This was a vile thing to do especially since Manali was aware that Khushi was in a vulnerable place. But yeah, his focus right now is on Khushi and the crude reality that the relationship had truly crumbled to dust. He is neither welcomed or needed in Khushi’s world anymore, even from afar. So that’s where we’re at 😊

Oh OK. Since Manali is the only one aware of Khushi vulnerability..why mess with Lavanya ?

Maybe he is being too emotional now and does not know ? Oh forgot he did confirm with Manali that if Lavanya was aware of the leak threat and she said yes.

Yep. He did confirm. He also knew that Manali was here on Lavanya’s insistence since he had been gone completely MIA on Lavanya since the night of his anniversary party and the aftermath of Khushi leaving abruptly.

Wow do I really have that kind of power? 😉😆

Has Shyam really changed for the better? I dread to think that Khushi will marry him and later realise that he is still the same guy he was a decade ago. How much of heartbreak can any person take? Not sure if Khushi can take heartbreaks anymore.

One thing I loved in this chapter was Khushi not asking about Arnav when she called Payal.

The way Arnav has dealt with this whole divorce saga, it was very wrong on his part. And good she did not ask Payal how he was doing.
