Oh my, what a chapter. Arpita, you are a fabulous writer.
Arnav didn't want kids, as he was scared to take responsibility of another human being. I think he was not wrong as it's a big responsibility being a parent.
Khushi wanted it. Their differences were growing. He wanted her by his side in the glamour world. She didn't like it.
They loved each other. We knew Khushi always looked out for Arnav's emotions. But Arnav too understood Khushi's sensitive nature. They didn't bicker but calmly resolved the matter. It says that he also understood Khushi's needs.
May be that's why he tried for a child for the sake of their relationship but I think Khushi didn't stop the pills because she was wiser than Arnav. She knew Arnav wasn't really ready and won't be happy and a good father in the future. So better not to spoil a child's future by bringing him/her in the world.
Arnav always had strong protective instincts. And maybe because of that he always wanted to control their lives. He always thought Khushi was fragile, and so there wasn't equality in their relationship.
But she is strong. She will come out of this grief even with all the pain and hurt.
Khushi's parents are not entirely wrong in their thinking considering the environment they are living in. They want their daughter to be happy, have a second chance at life.
I was with Khushi, when she thought how uncomfortable she would be with physical intimacy with someone else. Let's see what she decides after meeting Shyam and his daughter. May be she will take the chance of being a mother. And if Khushi's father is right in judging Shyam, he is a better person too who will treat her equally.
Arnav I guess was just frustrated with their differences and wanted good for Khushi too. So he thought separation would be better because Khushi might find a better companion in future. Now that it's happening, he doesn't want to destroy it. He can see that the other person can provide Khushi with the happiness that he couldn't offer her.
But he is missing her terribly in his life. One can feel sad for him. But he has to go on as it was him who took that decision.
